| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There were instances of unneeded arch/hlt.h includes, various hlt() calls that weren't supposed to exit (but might have) and various forms of endless loops around hlt() calls. All these are sorted out now: unnecessary includes are dropped, hlt() is uniformly replaced with halt() (except in assembly, obviously). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Here's the great news: From now on you don't have to worry about hitting the right io.h include anymore. Just forget about romcc_io.h and use io.h instead. This cleanup has a number of advantages, like you don't have to guard device/ includes for SMM and pre RAM anymore. This allows to get rid of a number of ifdefs and will generally make the code more readable and understandable. Potentially in the future some of the code in the io.h __PRE_RAM__ path should move to device.h or other device/ includes instead, but that's another incremental change. Some romstages used to set this to "true" (ie. "print debug output"), but I didn't follow up on it in Kconfig - if you need it to debug CAR, enable it yourself. While debugging this, I removed an indirection from the e7520 ram init code (same as we did on a couple of other chipsets, removes some register pressure from romcc) Also, drop remainders of CONFIG_USE_INIT (except the one odd piece of dead code in cache_as_ram.inc) Then some ap_romstage.c fixes, at least the nvidia/l1_2pvv compiled for me with CONFIG_AP_CODE_IN_CAR set in Kconfig which it did not before.
