* power: reset: restart-poweroff: Use devm_register_sys_off_handler(POWER_OFF)Andrew Davis2024-02-131-17/+8

* power: reset: restart-poweroff: Convert to platform remove callback ↵Uwe Kleine-König2023-11-151-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | returning void The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is ignored (apart from emitting a warning) and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new(), which already returns void. Eventually after all drivers are converted, .remove_new() will be renamed to .remove(). Trivially convert this driver from always returning zero in the remove callback to the void returning variant. * power: reset: remove MODULE_LICENSE in non-modulesNick Alcock2023-04-131-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit 8b41fc4454e ("kbuild: create modules.builtin without Makefile.modbuiltin or tristate.conf"), MODULE_LICENSE declarations are used to identify modules. As a consequence, uses of the macro in non-modules will cause modprobe to misidentify their containing object file as a module when it is not (false positives), and modprobe might succeed rather than failing with a suitable error message. So remove it in the files in this commit, none of which can be built as modules. * power: reset: restart-poweroff: Add missing MODULE_DEVICE_TABLEBixuan Cui2021-04-121-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | This patch adds missing MODULE_DEVICE_TABLE definition which generates correct modalias for automatic loading of this driver when it is built as an external module. * power/reset: restart-poweroff: Remove arm dependenciesGuenter Roeck2015-01-251-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | This driver is now arm specific anymore, so there is no need to include an arm specific include file. Also drop unnecessary depencency on ARM from Kconfig. Signed-off-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net> Signed-off-by: Sebastian Reichel <sre@kernel.org>

* power/restart: call machine_restart instead of arm_pm_restartGuenter Roeck2014-09-261-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | machine_restart is supported on non-ARM platforms, and and ultimately calls arm_pm_restart, so dont call arm_pm_restart directly but use the more generic function. * power/reset: Add a new driver implementing 'power off by restarting'Andrew Lunn2013-01-061-0/+65
Some devices, Buffalo Linkstation LS-XHL and LS-CHLv2 for example, power-off by restarting to letting u-boot hold the SoC until the user presses a key. Add a generic driver to implement this. It binds a function to pm_power_off, which calls arm_pm_restart.
