This changes the vfs dentry hashing to mix in the parent pointer at the
_beginning_ of the hash, rather than at the end.
That actually improves both the hash and the code generation, because we
can move more of the computation to the "static" part of the dcache
setup, and do less at lookup runtime.
It turns out that a lot of other hash users also really wanted to mix in
a base pointer as a 'salt' for the hash, and so the slightly extended
interface ends up working well for other cases too.
Users that want a string hash that is purely about the string pass in a
'salt' pointer of NULL.

Noe that we're mixing in the parent pointer earlier, we
don't need to use hash_32() to mix its bits. Instead, we can
just take the msbits of the hash value directly.
For those applications which use the partial_name_hash(),
move the multiply to end_name_hash.

We always mixed in the parent pointer into the dentry name hash, but we
did it late at lookup time. It turns out that we can simplify that
lookup-time action by salting the hash with the parent pointer early
instead of late.
A few other users of our string hashes also wanted to mix in their own
pointers into the hash, and those are updated to use the same mechanism.
Hash users that don't have any particular initial salt can just use the
NULL pointer as a no-salt.

Some of our "for_each_xyz()" macro constructs make gcc unhappy about
lack of braces around if-statements inside or outside the loop, because
the loop construct itself has a "if-then-else" statement inside of it.
The resulting warnings look something like this:

even if the code itself is fine.
Since the warning is fairly easy to avoid by adding a braces around the
if-statement near the for_each_xyz() construct, do so, rather than
disabling the otherwise potentially useful warning.
(The if-then-else statements used in the "for_each_xyz()" constructs are
designed to be inherently safe even with no braces, but in this case
it's quite understandable that gcc isn't really able to tell that).
This finally leaves the standard "allmodconfig" build with just a
handful of remaining warnings, so new and valid warnings hopefully will
stand out.

Newer versions of gcc warn about the use of __builtin_return_address()
with a non-zero argument when "-Wall" is specified:

It is true that a non-zero argument is somewhat dangerous, and we do not
actually have very many uses of that in the kernel - but the ftrace code
does use it, and as Stephen Rostedt says:
"We are well aware of the danger of using __builtin_return_address() of
> 0. In fact that's part of the reason for having the "thunk" code in
x86 (See arch/x86/entry/thunk_{64,32}.S). [..] it adds extra frames
when tracking irqs off sections, to prevent __builtin_return_address()
from accessing bad areas. In fact the thunk_32.S states: 'Trampoline to
trace irqs off. (otherwise CALLER_ADDR1 might crash)'."
For now, __builtin_return_address() with a non-zero argument is the best
we can do, and the warning is not helpful and can end up making people
miss other warnings for real problems.
So disable the frame-address warning on compilers that need it.

ssi_start_tx and ssi_stop_tx may be called from atomic context. Once
pm_runtime_irq_safe() is removed for omap-ssi, this will fail, due
to blocking pm_runtime_*_sync() calls.
This fixes ssi_stop_tx by using non-sync API and ssi_start_tx by
using a worker thread.

This simplifies the code and avoids holding a spin_lock when
runtime pm calls are made. Once the irq_safe flag is removed
for omap_ssi's runtime pm, pm_runtime_get/put_sync can sleep,
which is a no-go while holding a spin_lock.

If the HSI core is built as a module hsi_boardinfo may still
be built-in as its Kconfig type is bool, which can cause build

It's harmless in that (a) only root can trigger it, and (b) after
complaining the code never does let the entropy count go negative, but
it's better to simply not allow this userspace from passing in a

On a system with a 4 socket (NUMA) system where a large number of
application threads were all trying to read from /dev/urandom, this
can result in the system spending 80% of its time contending on the
global urandom spinlock. The application should have used its own
PRNG, but let's try to help it from running, lemming-like, straight
over the locking cliff.

The Hyper-V Linux Integration Services use the VMBus implementation for
communication with the Hypervisor. VMBus registers its own interrupt
handler that completely bypasses the common Linux interrupt handling.
This implies that the interrupt entropy collector is not triggered.
This patch adds the interrupt entropy collection callback into the VMBus
interrupt handler function.

Pull media documentation updates from Mauro Carvalho Chehab:
"This patch series does the conversion of all media documentation stuff
to Restrutured Text markup format and add them to the
Documentation/index.rst file.
The media documentation was grouped into 4 books:
- media uAPI
- media kAPI
- V4L driver-specific documentation
- DVB driver-specific documentation
It also contains several documentation improvements and one fixup
patch for a core issue with cropcap.
PS. After this patch series, the media DocBook is deprecated and
should be removed. I'll add such patch on a future pull request"

References at the rst files for C functions generated via
kernel-doc should use :c:func:.

changeset b7e67f6c1bf7 ("doc-rst: linux_tv: supress lots of warnings")
were meant to touch only on media files, but it also touched
at this script by mistake. Revert such change.

Sphinx can't handle well typedefs. Change two typedef
occurrences, in order to cleanup some of such warnings.
