* Add Merisc board supportJonas Larsson2009-03-271-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Merisc is the family name for a range of AVR32-based boards. The boards are designed to be used in a man-machine interfacing environment, utilizing a touch-based graphical user interface. They host a vast range of I/O peripherals as well as a large SDRAM & Flash memory bank. * avr32: Hammerhead board supportAlex Raimondi2009-01-051-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Hammerhead platform is built around a AVR32 32-bit microcontroller from Atmel. It offers versatile peripherals, such as ethernet, usb device, usb host etc. The board also incooperates a power supply and is a Power over Ethernet (PoE) Powered Device (PD). Additonally, a Cyclone III FPGA from Altera is integrated on the board. The FPGA is mapped into the 32-bit AVR memory bus. The FPGA offers two DDR2 SDRAM interfaces, which will cover even the most exceptional need of memory bandwidth. Together with the onboard video decoder the board is ready for video processing. This patch does include the basic support for the fpga device driver, but not the device driver itself. * avr32: Add MIMC200 board supportMark Jackson2008-10-131-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | Please consider the following patch which adds support for a new AVR32 based board. The board is closely based on Atmel's NGW100 reference board, but has an extra 8MByte FLASH and 128KByte FRAM. * avr32: add support for EarthLCD Favr-32 boardHans-Christian Egtvedt2008-10-131-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds support for the Favr-32 board made by EarthLCD. This kit, which is also called ezLCD-101, has a 10.4" touch screen LCD panel, 16 MB 32-bit SDRAM, 8 MB parallel flash, Ethernet, audio out, USB device, SD-card slot, USART and various other connectors for cennecting stuff to SPI, I2C, GPIO, etc. Signed-off-by: Hans-Christian Egtvedt <hans-christian.egtvedt@atmel.com> Signed-off-by: Haavard Skinnemoen <haavard.skinnemoen@atmel.com>
* avr32: Remove include/asm-avr32/arch-at32apHaavard Skinnemoen2008-08-081-14/+0
| | | | | | | Since all users have been converted over to use <mach/foo.h>, there's no need for the arch-at32ap directory and associated symlink anymore. Signed-off-by: Haavard Skinnemoen <haavard.skinnemoen@atmel.com>
* avr32: Introduce arch/avr32/mach-*/include/machHaavard Skinnemoen2008-08-051-1/+6
| | | | | | | | Add arch/avr32/mach-*/include to include search path and copy all the files from include/asm/arch there. The old files will be removed once ARM does the same change and all common drivers are converted. Signed-off-by: Haavard Skinnemoen <haavard.skinnemoen@atmel.com>
* [AVR32] Add support for AT32AP7001 and AT32AP7002Haavard Skinnemoen2008-01-251-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | These are derivatives of the AT32AP7000 chip, which means that most of the code stays the same. Rename a few files, functions, definitions and config symbols to reflect that they apply to all AP700x chips, and exclude some platform devices from chips where they aren't present. * [AVR32] Oprofile supportHaavard Skinnemoen2008-01-251-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | This adds the necessary architecture code to run oprofile on AVR32 using the performance counters documented by the AVR32 Architecture Manual. Signed-off-by: Haavard Skinnemoen <hskinnemoen@atmel.com> Acked-by: Philippe Elie <phil.el@wanadoo.fr>
* kbuild: enable 'make AFLAGS=...' to add additional options to ASSam Ravnborg2007-10-151-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The variable AFLAGS is a wellknown variable and the usage by kbuild may result in unexpected behaviour. On top of that several people over time has asked for a way to pass in additional flags to gcc. This patch replace use of AFLAGS with KBUILD_AFLAGS all over the tree. Patch was tested on following architectures: alpha, arm, i386, x86_64, mips, sparc, sparc64, ia64, m68k, s390 Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org>
* kbuild: enable 'make CFLAGS=...' to add additional options to CCSam Ravnborg2007-10-141-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The variable CFLAGS is a wellknown variable and the usage by kbuild may result in unexpected behaviour. On top of that several people over time has asked for a way to pass in additional flags to gcc. This patch replace use of CFLAGS with KBUILD_CFLAGS all over the tree and enabling one to use: make CFLAGS=... to specify additional gcc commandline options. One usecase is when trying to find gcc bugs but other use cases has been requested too. Patch was tested on following architectures: alpha, arm, i386, x86_64, mips, sparc, sparc64, ia64, m68k Test was simple to do a defconfig build, apply the patch and check that nothing got rebuild. * [AVR32] Use correct config symbol when setting cpuflagsHaavard Skinnemoen2007-05-091-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | As Robert P. J. Day pointed out, the CONFIG_CPU_AT32AP7000 symbol wasn't used for anything. It should have been used to select the correct -mcpu= options for CFLAGS. -mcpu=ap7000 is the default anyway, so this patch shouldn't really make any difference, but it's always nice to do things correctly. * [PATCH] avr32 architectureHaavard Skinnemoen2006-09-261-0/+84
This adds support for the Atmel AVR32 architecture as well as the AT32AP7000 CPU and the AT32STK1000 development board. AVR32 is a new high-performance 32-bit RISC microprocessor core, designed for cost-sensitive embedded applications, with particular emphasis on low power consumption and high code density. The AVR32 architecture is not binary compatible with earlier 8-bit AVR architectures. The AVR32 architecture, including the instruction set, is described by the AVR32 Architecture Manual, available from http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/doc32000.pdf The Atmel AT32AP7000 is the first CPU implementing the AVR32 architecture. It features a 7-stage pipeline, 16KB instruction and data caches and a full Memory Management Unit. It also comes with a large set of integrated peripherals, many of which are shared with the AT91 ARM-based controllers from Atmel. Full data sheet is available from http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/doc32003.pdf while the CPU core implementation including caches and MMU is documented by the AVR32 AP Technical Reference, available from http://www.atmel.com/dyn/resources/prod_documents/doc32001.pdf Information about the AT32STK1000 development board can be found at http://www.atmel.com/dyn/products/tools_card.asp?tool_id=3918 including a BSP CD image with an earlier version of this patch, development tools (binaries and source/patches) and a root filesystem image suitable for booting from SD card. Alternatively, there's a preliminary "getting started" guide available at http://avr32linux.org/twiki/bin/view/Main/GettingStarted which provides links to the sources and patches you will need in order to set up a cross-compiling environment for avr32-linux. This patch, as well as the other patches included with the BSP and the toolchain patches, is actively supported by Atmel Corporation.
