* of: Migrate of_find_node_by_name() users to for_each_node_by_name()Grant Likely2014-06-261-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | There are a bunch of users open coding the for_each_node_by_name() by calling of_find_node_by_name() directly instead of using the macro. This is getting in the way of some cleanups, and the possibility of removing of_find_node_by_name() entirely. Clean it up so that all the users are consistent. * [PATCH] powerpc: udbg updatesBenjamin Herrenschmidt2006-01-091-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | The udbg low level io layer has an issue with udbg_getc() returning a char (unsigned on ppc) instead of an int, thus the -1 if you had no available input device could end up turned into 0xff, filling your display with bogus characters. This fixes it, along with adding a little blob to xmon to do a delay before exiting when getting an EOF and fixing the detection of ADB keyboards in udbg_adb.c Signed-off-by: Benjamin Herrenschmidt <benh@kernel.crashing.org> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: powermac adb fix udbg_adb_use_btext warningAndy Whitcroft2006-01-091-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | When compiling without BOOTX_TEXT the following warning is emitted. Fix up the definition to only be made when required. CC arch/powerpc/platforms/powermac/udbg_adb.o .../arch/powerpc/platforms/powermac/udbg_adb.c:41: warning: `udbg_adb_use_btext' defined but not used Signed-off-by: Andy Whitcroft <apw@shadowen.org> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: powermac adb fix dependency on btext_drawcharAndy Whitcroft2006-01-091-2/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | udbg_adb_init() has become dependent on btext_drawchar, even when BOOTX_TEXT support is not selected. This leads to the error below. Make the check dependant on BOOTX_TEXT. LD .tmp_vmlinux1 arch/powerpc/platforms/built-in.o(.toc1+0xa40): undefined reference to `btext_drawchar' Signed-off-by: Andy Whitcroft <apw@shadowen.org> Signed-off-by: Paul Mackerras <paulus@samba.org>
* [PATCH] powerpc: Unify udbg (#2)Benjamin Herrenschmidt2006-01-091-0/+218
This patch unifies udbg for both ppc32 and ppc64 when building the merged achitecture. xmon now has a single "back end". The powermac udbg stuff gets enriched with some ADB capabilities and btext output. In addition, the early_init callback is now called on ppc32 as well, approx. in the same order as ppc64 regarding device-tree manipulations. The init sequences of ppc32 and ppc64 are getting closer, I'll unify them in a later patch. For now, you can force udbg to the scc using "sccdbg" or to btext using "btextdbg" on powermacs. I'll implement a cleaner way of forcing udbg output to something else than the autodetected OF output device in a later patch.
