* block/rnbd: introduce rnbd_access_modesGuoqing Jiang2023-06-111-0/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | Add one new array (marked with __maybe_unused to prevent gcc warning about "defined but not used" with W=1), then we can remove rnbd_access_mode_str and rnbd-common.c accordingly. * block/rnbd: kill rnbd_flags_supportedGuoqing Jiang2023-06-111-22/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | This routine is not called since added. Then the two flags (RNBD_OP_LAST and RNBD_F_ALL) can be removed too after kill rnbd_flags_supported. * block/rnbd: replace REQ_OP_FLUSH with REQ_OP_WRITEGuoqing Jiang2023-05-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since flush bios are implemented as writes with no data and the preflush flag per Christoph's comment [1]. And we need to change it in rnbd accordingly. Otherwise, I got splatting when create fs from rnbd client. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | REQ_OP_WRITE_SAME was only ever submitted by the legacy Linux zeroing code, which has switched to use REQ_OP_WRITE_ZEROES long before rnbd was even merged. * block/rnbd: Set write-back cache and fua same to the target deviceGioh Kim2020-12-161-1/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The rnbd-client always sets the write-back cache and fua attributes of the rnbd device queue regardless of the target device on the server. That generates IO hang issue when the target device does not support both of write-back cacne and fua. This patch adds more fields for the cache policy and fua into the device opening message. The rnbd-server sends the information if the target device supports the write-back cache and fua and rnbd-client recevives it and set the device queue accordingly.
