* RDMA/ocrdma: Use bitmap_zalloc() when applicableChristophe JAILLET2021-11-291-10/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | Use 'bitmap_zalloc()' to simplify code, improve the semantic and avoid some open-coded arithmetic in allocator arguments. Also change the corresponding 'kfree()' into 'bitmap_free()' to keep consistency. * RDMA/ocrdma: Remove fbo from MRJason Gunthorpe2020-09-111-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | This is always the same value as IOVA masked by the page size, just use that clearer calculation directly. It is unclear of ocrdma hardware can actually support a true fbo, if so it could use a different algorithm to compute the best page size. * IB: Remove unneeded memsetFuqian Huang2019-07-031-3/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | In commit af7ddd8a627c ("Merge tag 'dma-mapping-4.21' of git://git.infradead.org/users/hch/dma-mapping"), dma_alloc_coherent/dmam_alloc_coherent always zeroed the returned memory. So the memset after a coherent allocation function is not needed. * RDMA: Clean destroy CQ in drivers do not return errorsLeon Romanovsky2019-06-111-5/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Like all other destroy commands, .destroy_cq() call is not supposed to fail. In all flows, the attempt to return earlier caused to memory leaks. This patch converts .destroy_cq() to do not return any errors. * RDMA: Directly cast the sockaddr union to sockaddrJason Gunthorpe2019-05-131-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | gcc 9 now does allocation size tracking and thinks that passing the member of a union and then accessing beyond that member's bounds is an overflow. Instead of using the union member, use the entire union with a cast to get to the sockaddr. gcc will now know that the memory extends the full size of the union. * RDMA: Introduce and use GID attr helper to read RoCE L2 fieldsParav Pandit2019-05-031-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of RoCE drivers figuring out vlan, smac fields while working on QP/AH, provide a helper routine to read the L2 fields such as vlan_id and source mac address. This moves logic from mlx5 driver to core for wider usage for RoCE ports. This is a preparation patch to allow detaching netdev in subsequent patch. * RDMA: Handle AH allocations by IB/coreLeon Romanovsky2019-04-081-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Simplify drivers by ensuring lifetime of ib_ah object. The changes in .create_ah() go hand in hand with relevant update in .destroy_ah(). We will use this opportunity and convert .destroy_ah() to don't fail, as it was suggested a long time ago, because there is nothing to do in case of failure during destroy. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We already need to zero out memory for dma_alloc_coherent(), as such using dma_zalloc_coherent() is superflous. Phase it out. * RDMA/drivers: Use dev_err/dbg/etc instead of pr_* + ibdev->nameJason Gunthorpe2018-09-261-1/+1

* RDMA: Convert drivers to use sgid_attr instead of sgid_indexParav Pandit2018-06-181-12/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The core code now ensures that all driver callbacks that receive an rdma_ah_attrs will have a sgid_attr's pointer if there is a GRH present. This patch replaces cases of: kzalloc(a * b, gfp) with: kcalloc(a * b, gfp) as well as handling cases of: kzalloc(a * b * c, gfp) with: kzalloc(array3_size(a, b, c), gfp) as it's slightly less ugly than: kzalloc_array(array_size(a, b), c, gfp) This does, however, attempt to ignore constant size factors like: kzalloc(4 * 1024, gfp) though any constants defined via macros get caught up in the conversion. Any factors with a sizeof() of "unsigned char", "char", and "u8" were dropped, since they're redundant. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Recently Dough Ledford reported a deadlock happening between ocrdma-load sequence and NetworkManager service issuing "open" on be2net interface. The deadlock happens when any be2net hook (e.g. open/close) is called in parallel to insmod ocrdma.ko. A. be2net is sending administrative open/close event to ocrdma holding device_list_mutex. It does this from ndo_open/ndo_stop hooks of be2net. So sequence of locks is rtnl_lock---> device_list lock B. When new ocrdma roce device gets registered, infiniband stack now takes rtnl_lock in ib_register_device() in GID initialization routines. So sequence of locks in this path is device_list lock ---> rtnl_lock. This improper locking sequence causes deadlock. With this patch we stop using administrative open and close events injected by be2net driver. These events were used to dispatch PORT_ACTIVE and PORT_ERROR events to the IB-stack. This patch implements a logic to receive async-link-events generated from CNA whenever link-state-change is detected. Now on, these async-events will be used to dispatch PORT_ACTIVE and PORT_ERROR events to IB-stack. Depending on async-events from CNA removes the need to hold device-list-mutex and thus breaks the busy-wait scenario. * RDMA/ocrdma: Fix vlan-id assignment in qp parametersDevesh Sharma2015-12-281-3/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | vlan-id is wrongly getting as 0 when PFC is enabled. Set vlan-id configured by user in QP parameters. In case vlan interface is not used, flash a warning to user to configure vlan and assign vlan-id as 0 in qp params. * IB/core: Use GID table in AH creation and dmac resolutionMatan Barak2015-10-211-13/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Previously, vlan id and source MAC were used from QP attributes. Since the net device is now stored in the GID attributes, they could be used instead of getting this information from the QP attributes. IB_QP_SMAC, IB_QP_ALT_SMAC, IB_QP_VID and IB_QP_ALT_VID were removed because there is no known libibverbs that uses them. This commit also modifies the vendors (mlx4, ocrdma) drivers in order to use the new approach. ocrdma driver changes were done by Somnath Kotur <Somnath.Kotur@Avagotech.Com> Signed-off-by: Matan Barak <matanb@mellanox.com> Signed-off-by: Doug Ledford <dledford@redhat.com>
