CONFIG_HOTPLUG is going away as an option. As a result, the __dev*
markings need to be removed.
This change removes the use of __devinit, __devexit_p, __devinitdata,
__devinitconst, and __devexit from these drivers.
Based on patches originally written by Bill Pemberton, but redone by me
in order to handle some of the coding style issues better, by hand.

Pull late ARM cleanups for omap from Olof Johansson:
"From Tony Lindgren:
Here are few more patches to finish the omap changes for multiplatform
conversion that are not strictly fixes, but were too complex to do
with the dependencies during the merge window. Those are to move of
serial-omap.h to platform_data, and the removal of remaining
cpu_is_omap macro usage outside mach-omap2.
Then there are several trivial fixes for typos and few minimal
omap2plus_defconfig updates."

The cpu_is_omap macros are now local to arch/arm/mach-omap2
in soc.h and plat/cpu.h can finally be dropped for omap2+.
Thanks everybody for help with fixing the drivers.
Note that we can now also remove the unused plat/cpu.h from
smartreflex.c and isp.c as they will cause compile errors
with ARCH_MULTIPLATFORM enabled.

controls API failures"
Commit f0ed2ce840b3 ("[media] uvcvideo: Set error_idx properly for
extended controls API failures") causes user space to behave incorrectly
on one of my test machines (there is no sound under KDE 4.9.4 using
pulseaudio and there is a knotify4 process occupying one of the CPU
cores 100% of the time). Reverting that commit entirely fixes the
problem for me.
However, commit f0ed2ce840b3 appears to do more than it follows from its
changelog, because the changelog only says about the changes related to
ctrls->error_idx, while the commit additionally changes error codes
returned by various functions in uvc_ctrl.c and uvc_v4l2.c. It turns
out that the changes of the returned error codes confuse the user spce,
so it is sufficient to revert the part of commit f0ed2ce840b3 not
mentioned in its changelog to fix the problem.

omapdss_compat_init() and omapdss_compat_uninit() is called internally
by omapdss. This patch moves the calls to omapfb, omap_vout and omapdrm
drivers. omapdrm driver can later remove the call after non-compat
support has been implemented in omapdrm.

cpu_is_* class functions create a dependency to OMAP platform code.
omapdss driver, which omap_vout uses, exposes a function to get the
version of the DSS hardware.
To remove the dependency to OMAP platform code this patch changes
omap_vout to use the omapdss version. For most of the checks, the ones
dealing with DSS differences, this is actually more correct than using
cpu_is_* functions. For the check whether VRFB is available or not this
is not really correct, but still works fine.

The MEDIA_ENT_FL_DEFAULT identifies entities that are considered as

UVC devices don't report which output terminal should be considered as

This patch adds V4L2 driver for Samsung S3C24XX/S3C64XX SoC series
camera interface. The driver exposes a subdev device node for CAMIF
pixel resolution and crop control and two video capture nodes - for
the "codec" and "preview" data paths. It has been tested on Mini2440
(s3c2440) and Mini6410 (s3c6410) board with gstreamer and mplayer.

The right solution is to remove the architecture dependency on
dma_common_get_sgtable(). Revert this patch to apply the right one.
This reverts commit 93049b9368a2e257ace66252ab2cc066f3399cad.

The simplest fix is to just not support DMABUF with vb2-contig, on archs
where this symbol doesn't exist. Some latter patch can rewrite it to
support this outside -arm.

Most operations on DMA and DMABUF framework require the size of a buffer to be

The DMA transfer must be aligned to a specific value. If userptr is not aligned
to DMA requirements then unexpected corruptions of the memory may occur before
or after a buffer. To prevent such situations, all unligned userptr buffers
are rejected at VIDIOC_QBUF.

allocator context
This patch adds taking reference to the device for MMAP buffers.
Such buffers, may be exported using DMABUF mechanism. If the driver that
created a queue is unloaded then the queue is released, the device might be
released too. However, buffers cannot be released if they are referenced by
DMABUF descriptor(s). The device pointer kept in a buffer must be valid for the
whole buffer's lifetime. Therefore MMAP buffers should take a reference to the
device to avoid risk of dangling pointers.
