* convert hamradio drivers to netdev_txreturnt_tStephen Hemminger2009-09-011-1/+2

* net: use NETDEV_TX_OK instead of 0 in ndo_start_xmit() functionsPatrick McHardy2009-07-051-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | This patch is the result of an automatic spatch transformation to convert all ndo_start_xmit() return values of 0 to NETDEV_TX_OK. Some occurences are missed by the automatic conversion, those will be handled in a seperate patch. Signed-off-by: Patrick McHardy <kaber@trash.net> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* net: use symbolic values for ndo_start_xmit() return codesPatrick McHardy2009-06-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Convert magic values 1 and -1 to NETDEV_TX_BUSY and NETDEV_TX_LOCKED respectively. 0 (NETDEV_TX_OK) is not changed to keep the noise down, except in very few cases where its in direct proximity to one of the other values. * drivers/net: Kill now superfluous ->last_rx stores.David S. Miller2008-11-031-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The generic packet receive code takes care of setting netdev->last_rx when necessary, for the sake of the bonding ARP monitor. Drivers need not do it any more. Some cases had to be skipped over because the drivers were making use of the ->last_rx value themselves. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* hdlcdrv: Fix CRC calculation.Micah Dowty2008-07-211-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | This is a trivial patch against the hdlcdrv module that fixes its CRC calculation. The finished CRC was overwriting the first two bytes of each packet rather than being appended to the end. I've tested this with 2.6.8 and 2.6.10-rc1, but hdlcdrv hasn't changed much recently so it should work with many other kernel versions. * [NET]: Move hardware header operations out of netdevice.Stephen Hemminger2007-10-101-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | Since hardware header operations are part of the protocol class not the device instance, make them into a separate object and save memory. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [SK_BUFF]: Introduce skb_copy_from_linear_data{_offset}Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo2007-04-251-1/+3
| | | | | | | To clearly state the intent of copying from linear sk_buffs, _offset being a overly long variant but interesting for the sake of saving some bytes. Signed-off-by: Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo <acme@redhat.com>

* [AX.25]: Fix default address and broadcast address initialization.Ralf Baechle2006-12-081-14/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | Only the callsign but not the SSID part of an AX.25 address is ASCII based but Linux by initializes the SSID which should be just a 4-bit number from ASCII anyway. Fix that and convert the code to use a shared constant for both default addresses. While at it, use the same style for null_ax25_address also. * [AX.25]: Rename ax25_encapsulate to ax25_hard_headerRalf Baechle2005-09-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | Rename ax25_encapsulate to ax25_hard_header which these days more accurately describes what the function is supposed to do. Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle DL5RB <ralf@linux-mips.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [HAMRADIO]: driver cleanupsRalf Baechle2005-09-121-13/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Misc related cleanups in hamradio drivers: o Use symbolic constants instead of magic numbers o Don't try to handle the case where AX.25 isn't configured - the kernel configuration doesn't permit that. o Remove useless headers Signed-off-by: Ralf Baechle DL5RB <ralf@linux-mips.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* [AX25] Introduce ax25_type_transArnaldo Carvalho de Melo2005-04-241-3/+1
| | | | | | | | | Replacing the open coded equivalents and making ax25 look more like a linux network protocol, i.e. more similar to inet. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
