* x86/mm/pti: Introduce pti_finalize()Joerg Roedel2018-07-201-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Introduce a new function to finalize the kernel mappings for the userspace page-table after all ro/nx protections have been applied to the kernel mappings. Also move the call to pti_clone_kernel_text() to that function so that it will run on 32 bit kernels too. * x86/mm/pti: Add infrastructure for page table isolationThomas Gleixner2017-12-231-0/+11
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add the initial files for kernel page table isolation, with a minimal init function and the boot time detection for this misfeature. * drivers/misc/intel/pti: Rename the header file to free up the namespaceIngo Molnar2017-12-171-43/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | We'd like to use the 'PTI' acronym for 'Page Table Isolation' - free up the namespace by renaming the <linux/pti.h> driver header to <linux/intel-pti.h>. (Also standardize the header guard name while at it.) * PTI feature to allow user to name and mark masterchannel request.J Freyensee2011-07-011-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This feature addition provides a new parameter in pti_request_masterchannel() to allow the user to provide their own name to mark the request when the trace is viewed in a PTI SW trace viewer (like MPTA). If a name is not provided and NULL is provided, the 'current' process name is used. API function header documentation documents this. * Intel PTI implementaiton of MIPI 1149.7.J Freyensee2011-05-131-0/+42
The PTI (Parallel Trace Interface) driver directs trace data routed from various parts in the system out through an Intel Penwell PTI port and out of the mobile device for analysis with a debugging tool (Lauterbach or Fido). Though n_tracesink and n_tracerouter line discipline drivers are used to extract modem tracing data to the PTI driver and other parts of an Intel mobile solution, the PTI driver can be used independent of n_tracesink and n_tracerouter. You should select this driver if the target kernel is meant for an Intel Atom (non-netbook) mobile device containing a MIPI P1149.7 standard implementation.
