Currently svc_rdma_recv_ctxt_put's callers have to know whether they
want to free the ctxt's pages or not. This means the human
developers have to know when and why to set that free_pages
argument.
Instead, the ctxt should carry that information with it so that
svc_rdma_recv_ctxt_put does the right thing no matter who is
calling.
We want to keep track of the number of pages in the Receive buffer
separately from the number of pages pulled over by RDMA Read. This
is so that the correct number of pages can be freed properly and
that number is well-documented.
So now, rc_hdr_count is the number of pages consumed by head[0]
(ie., the page index where the Read chunk should start); and
rc_page_count is always the number of pages that need to be released
when the ctxt is put.
The @free_pages argument is no longer needed.

svc_rdma_op_ctxt's are pre-allocated and maintained on a per-xprt
free list. This eliminates the overhead of calling kmalloc / kfree,
both of which grab a globally shared lock that disables interrupts.
To reduce contention further, separate the use of these objects in
the Receive and Send paths in svcrdma.
Subsequent patches will take advantage of this separation by
allocating real resources which are then cached in these objects.
The allocations are freed when the transport is torn down.
I've renamed the structure so that static type checking can be used
to ensure that uses of op_ctxt and recv_ctxt are not confused. As an
additional clean up, structure fields are renamed to conform with
kernel coding conventions.
As a final clean up, helpers related to recv_ctxt are moved closer
to the functions that use them.

Pull ARM SoC late updates from Olof Johansson:
"This is a branch with a few merge requests that either came in late,
or took a while longer for us to review and merge than usual and thus
cut it a bit close to the merge window. We stage them in a separate
branch and if things look good, we still send them up -- and that's
the case here.
This is mostly DT additions for Renesas platforms, adding IP block
descriptions for existing and new SoCs.
There are also some driver updates for Qualcomm platforms for SMEM/QMI
and GENI, which is their generalized serial protocol interface"

Create function qcom_smem_virt_to_phys(), which returns the physical
address corresponding to a given SMEM item's virtual address. This
feature is required for a driver that will soon be out for review.

This driver manages the Generic Interface (GENI) firmware based Qualcomm
Universal Peripheral (QUP) Wrapper. GENI based QUP is the next generation
programmable module composed of multiple Serial Engines (SE) and supports
a wide range of serial interfaces like UART, SPI, I2C, I3C, etc. This
driver also enables managing the serial interface independent aspects of
Serial Engines.

SCMI cleanups for v4.18
This contains all of the trivial review comments that were not
addressed as the series was already queued up for v4.17 and were not
critical to go as fixes.
They generally just improve code readability, fix kernel-docs, remove
unused/unnecessary code, follow standard function naming and simplifies
certain exit paths.

Most of the scmi code follows the suggestion from Greg KH on a totally
different thread[0] to have the subsystem name first, followed by the
noun and finally the verb with couple of these exceptions.
This patch fixes them so that all the functions names are aligned to
that practice.

There are few missing descriptions for function parameters and structure
members along with certain instances where excessive function parameters
or structure members are described.
This patch fixes all of those warnings.

Currently aemif is supported in two places separately. By the platform
driver in drivers/memory and by a hand crafted driver in mach-davinci.
We want to drop the latter but also keep the legacy mode. Add support
for board files to the aemif driver.
The new structure in platform data currently only contains the chip
select number, since currently existing users don't require anything
else, but it can be extended in the future.
While extending the platform data struct, add kernel docs describing
its members.

Pull ARM SoC platform updates from Olof Johansson:
"Here are the main updates for SoC support (besides DT additions) for
ARM 32- and 64-bit platforms. The branch also contains defconfig
updates to turn on drivers and options as needed on the various
platforms.
The largest parts of the delta are from cleanups moving platform data
and board file setup of TI platforms to ti-sysc bus drivers. There are
also some sweeping changes of eeprom and nand setup on Davinci, i.MX
and other platforms.
Samsung is removing support for Exynos5440, which was an oddball SoC
that hasn't been seen much use in designs.
Renesas is adding support for new SoCs (R-Car E3, RZ/G1C and RZ/N1D).
Linus Walleij is also removing support for ux500 (Sony Ericsson)

The docs for the spi_imx platform data still refer to a -32 offset used to
specify a native chip select. This was removed in commit 602c8f4485cd
("spi: imx: fix use of native chip-selects with devicetree") and no
longer works as documented. Update documentation.
The macro MXC_SPI_CS() is no longer is needed.
If a board uses all native chip selects, then it's not necessary to
specify a chip select array at all, as all native is the default (this is
how device-tree configured SPI masters work too). Most of the spi-imx
platform data users have their chip select arrays removed by this patch.
This patch also fixes a bug in mx31moboard introduced in the '602 commit.
When that board was updated in commit 901f26bce64a ("ARM: imx: set
correct chip_select in platform setup") to reflect the SPI change, only
SPI bus 2 was updated and SPI bus 1 was left with non-sequential chip
selects. The mc13783 spi device on bus 1 had its chip select updated as
if it were on bus 2.

DaVinci SoC support updates for v4.18
Mainly contains patches to move NAND chipselect to platform data
(currently platform device id is being used). These patches have
been acked by NAND maintainer and because of the driver dependency
an immutable branch has been provided to Boris.
The other patch is to remove an unnecessary postcore_initcall() on
DM644x which is needed for common clock framework conversion.

We have the 'ti,davinci-chipselect' property in the device tree, but
when using platform data the driver silently uses the id field of
struct platform_device as the chipselect. This is confusing and we
almost broke the nand support again recently after converting the
platform to common clock framework (which changed the device id in the
clock lookup - the problem is gone now that we no longer acquire the
clock in the nand driver.
This patch adds a new field - core_chipsel - to the platform_data.
Subsequent patches will convert the platforms to using this new field.

ti-sysc driver related changes for omap variants
This series improves the ti-sysc interconnect target module driver to
the point where a most of SoC can be booted with interconnect target
module data configured in device tree instead of legacy platform data.
The related device tree changes need some more work though, and can
wait for v4.19. Also some drivers using nested interconnects like DSS
need more work.
We can now remove the unused pm-noop code that is not doing anything
any longer. And we can now initialize things for PM and display pdata
later to prepare things for using ti-sysc driver.
We also need to add some more quirk handling so we can boot both with
platform data and dts data.

Looks like these functions don't do anything in the mainline kernel so
we can just drop it.
Note that we must now also remove ir-rx51 pdata as it relies on the dummy
platform data that does not do anything. And ir-rx51 is calling a pdata
callback that doesn't do anything without checking if it exists first.
For configuring device specific minimal latencies, the interface to use
is pm_qos_add_request(). For an example, see what was done in commit
9834ffd1ecc3 ("ASoC: omap-mcbsp: Add PM QoS support for McBSP to prevent
glitches"). I've added some comments to ir-rx51 so people using it can
add pm_qos support and test it.

In some scenarios, user need do some time-consuming or sleepable
operations under the hardware spinlock protection for synchronization
between the multiple subsystems.
For example, there is one PMIC efuse on Spreadtrum platform, which
need to be accessed under one hardware lock. But during the hardware
lock protection, the efuse operation is time-consuming to almost 5 ms,
so we can not disable the interrupts or preemption so long in this case.
Thus we can introduce one new mode to indicate that we just acquire the
hardware lock and do not disable interrupts or preemption, meanwhile we
should force user to protect the hardware lock with mutex or spinlock to
avoid dead-lock.

"In this round, we've mainly focused on discard, aka unmap, control
along with fstrim for Android-specific usage model. In addition, we've
fixed writepage flow which returned EAGAIN previously resulting in EIO
of fsync(2) due to mapping's error state. In order to avoid old MM bug
[1], we decided not to use __GFP_ZERO for the mapping for node and
meta page caches. As always, we've cleaned up many places for future
fsverity and symbol conflicts.
Enhancements:

- split large discard commands into smaller ones for better responsiveness

Currently, fscrypt provides fscrypt_decrypt_bio_pages() which decrypts a
bio's pages asynchronously, then unlocks them afterwards. But, this
assumes that decryption is the last "postprocessing step" for the bio,
so it's incompatible with additional postprocessing steps such as
authenticity verification after decryption.
Therefore, rename the existing fscrypt_decrypt_bio_pages() to
fscrypt_enqueue_decrypt_bio(). Then, add fscrypt_decrypt_bio() which
decrypts the pages in the bio synchronously without unlocking the pages,
nor setting them Uptodate; and add fscrypt_enqueue_decrypt_work(), which
enqueues work on the fscrypt_read_workqueue. The new functions will be
used by filesystems that support both fscrypt and fs-verity.

Two framebuffer device-node names were looked up during probe, but were
only used as flags to indicate the presence of two framebuffer device.
Drop the unused framebuffer name along with a likewise unused device
pointer from the driver data, and update the platform data to pass in
booleans instead of the framebuffer strings. This allows us do drop the
node references acquired during probe, which would otherwise leak.
Note that there are no other in-kernel users of the modified
platform-data fields.

The backlight power state handling is supremely confusing. We have:
- props.power, using FB_BLANK_* defines
- props.fb_blank, using the same, but deprecated int favour of
props.state
- props.state, using the BL_CORE_* defines
- and finally a bunch of backlight drivers treat brightness == 0 as
off. But of course not all of them.
This is way too much confusion to fix in a simple patch, but at least
prevent more hilarity from spreading by removing the unused BL_CORE_*
defines. I have no idea why exactly anyone would need that.
Wrt the ideal state, we really just want a boolean state. The 4 power
saving states that the fbdev subsystem uses are overkill in todays hw
(this was only relevant for VGA and similar analog circuits like
TV-out), the new drm atomic modeset api simplified even the uapi to a
simple bool. And there was never a valid technical reason to have the
intermediate fbdev power states for backlights (those really only can
be either off or on).
Cleanup motivated by Meghana's questions about all this.

Some panels (i.e. N116BGE-L41), in their power sequence specifications,
request a delay between set the PWM signal and enable the backlight and
between clear the PWM signal and disable the backlight. Add support for
the new post-pwm-on-delay-ms and pwm-off-delay-ms proprieties to meet
the timings.

We should stop our worker thread while we're suspended. If we don't
then we'll get messages like:

When AXP806 support was added, POK was incorrectly expanded to PWROK.
However, the datasheet lists them as POK[LSNP], which is the same as
on the AXP288. Furthermore, the registers associated with POK functions
are the same as the PEK on the other AXP PMICs. This suggests that
"POK" means "Power On Key", much like "PEK" means "Power Enable Key",
instead of "Power OK".
This patch changes the "PWROK" prefix to "POK" for these interrupts.

Now GPIOD has support for both pdata systems and for non-standard DT
bindings the Arizona reset GPIO can be converted to use it. Worth
noting gpiod_set_raw_value_cansleep is used to match the behaviour
of the old GPIOs. This is because the part is fairly widely used and
it is unknown how many DTs are correctly setting active low through
device tree, so to avoid breaking any existing users it is best to
match the previous behaviour.

This reverts commit e04653a9dcf4d98defe2149c885382e5cc72082f.
It is no longer needed to install Chrome EC GPE handler to have
GPE enabled in suspend to idle path. It is found that with this
handler installed, EC wake up doesn't work because default EC
event handler that can wake up system is not getting called.

Commit 2dc4940360d4 ("regulator: tps65218: Remove all the compatibles")
changes the probe function of drivers/regulator/tps65218-regulator.c so
that it iterates through all available regulators and assumes that the
regulator IDs are sequential and match the order present in the enum
tps65218_regulator_id. However, for some reason the much older commit
c0ea88b890d6 ("regulator: tps65218: add support for LS3 current
regulator") updated all arrays with LS3 at the end but added it second
to last for the enum.
Because of this long standing mismatch in order between the
tps65218_regulator_id enum and the regulator_desc array in the tps65218
regulator driver, the new probe function causes the strobe values to be
associated with the wrong regulator ID. This causes LDO1 to fail to
suspend in tps65218_pmic_set_suspend_disable due to not having anything
probes for its strobe value. Fix the order in the enum so the probe
function works as the update intended.
