IPV6_ADDRFORM causes resource leaks when converting an IPv6 socket
to IPv4, particularly struct ipv6_ac_socklist. Similar to
struct ipv6_mc_socklist, we should just close it on this path.
This bug can be easily reproduced with the following C program:
#include <stdio.h>
#include <string.h>
#include <sys/types.h>
#include <sys/socket.h>
#include <arpa/inet.h>
int main()
{
int s, value;
struct sockaddr_in6 addr;
struct ipv6_mreq m6;
s = socket(AF_INET6, SOCK_DGRAM, 0);
addr.sin6_family = AF_INET6;
addr.sin6_port = htons(5000);
inet_pton(AF_INET6, "::ffff:192.168.122.194", &addr.sin6_addr);
connect(s, (struct sockaddr *)&addr, sizeof(addr));
inet_pton(AF_INET6, "fe80::AAAA", &m6.ipv6mr_multiaddr);
m6.ipv6mr_interface = 5;
setsockopt(s, SOL_IPV6, IPV6_JOIN_ANYCAST, &m6, sizeof(m6));
value = AF_INET;
setsockopt(s, SOL_IPV6, IPV6_ADDRFORM, &value, sizeof(value));
close(s);
return 0;
}

The seg6_validate_srh() is used to validate SRH for three cases:
case1: SRH of data-plane SRv6 packets to be processed by the Linux kernel.
Case2: SRH of the netlink message received from user-space (iproute2)
Case3: SRH injected into packets through setsockopt
In case1, the SRH can be encoded in the Reduced way (i.e., first SID is
carried in DA only and not represented as SID in the SRH) and the
seg6_validate_srh() now handles this case correctly.
In case2 and case3, the SRH shouldn’t be encoded in the Reduced way
otherwise we lose the first segment (i.e., the first hop).
The current implementation of the seg6_validate_srh() allow SRH of case2
and case3 to be encoded in the Reduced way. This leads a slab-out-of-bounds
problem.
This patch verifies SRH of case1, case2 and case3. Allowing case1 to be
reduced while preventing SRH of case2 and case3 from being reduced .

Socket option IPV6_ADDRFORM supports UDP/UDPLITE and TCP at present.
Previously the checking logic looks like:
if (sk->sk_protocol == IPPROTO_UDP || sk->sk_protocol == IPPROTO_UDPLITE)
do_some_check;
else if (sk->sk_protocol != IPPROTO_TCP)
break;
After commit b6f6118901d1 ("ipv6: restrict IPV6_ADDRFORM operation"), TCP
was blocked as the logic changed to:
if (sk->sk_protocol == IPPROTO_UDP || sk->sk_protocol == IPPROTO_UDPLITE)
do_some_check;
else if (sk->sk_protocol == IPPROTO_TCP)
do_some_check;
break;
else
break;
Then after commit 82c9ae440857 ("ipv6: fix restrict IPV6_ADDRFORM operation")
UDP/UDPLITE were blocked as the logic changed to:
if (sk->sk_protocol == IPPROTO_UDP || sk->sk_protocol == IPPROTO_UDPLITE)
do_some_check;
if (sk->sk_protocol == IPPROTO_TCP)
do_some_check;
if (sk->sk_protocol != IPPROTO_TCP)
break;
Fix it by using Eric's code and simply remove the break in TCP check, which
looks like:
if (sk->sk_protocol == IPPROTO_UDP || sk->sk_protocol == IPPROTO_UDPLITE)
do_some_check;
else if (sk->sk_protocol == IPPROTO_TCP)
do_some_check;
else
break;

Native ->setsockopt() handling of these options (MCAST_..._SOURCE_GROUP
and MCAST_{,UN}BLOCK_SOURCE) consists of copyin + call of a helper that
does the actual work. The only change needed for ->compat_setsockopt()
is a slightly different copyin - the helpers can be reused as-is.

now we can do MCAST_MSFILTER in compat ->getsockopt() without
playing silly buggers with copying things back and forth.
We can form a native struct group_filter (sans the variable-length
tail) on stack, pass that + pointer to the tail of original request
to the helper doing the bulk of the work, then do the rest of
copyout - same as the native getsockopt() does.

pass the userland pointer to the array in its tail, so that part
gets copied out by our functions; copyout of everything else is
done in the callers. Rationale: reuse for compat; the array
is the same in native and compat, the layout of parts before it
is different for compat.

Commit b6f6118901d1 ("ipv6: restrict IPV6_ADDRFORM operation") fixed a
problem found by syzbot an unfortunate logic error meant that it
also broke IPV6_ADDRFORM.
Rearrange the checks so that the earlier test is just one of the series
of checks made before moving the socket from IPv6 to IPv4.

IPV6_ADDRFORM is able to transform IPv6 socket to IPv4 one.
While this operation sounds illogical, we have to support it.
One of the things it does for TCP socket is to switch sk->sk_prot
to tcp_prot.
We now have other layers playing with sk->sk_prot, so we should make
sure to not interfere with them.
This patch makes sure sk_prot is the default pointer for TCP IPv6 socket.

added and forgetting that Kbuild uses two different file names for
Makefiles. This issue was reported by the Kbuild maintainer.
These patches have been out for review on the linux-spdx@vger mailing
list, and while they were created by automatic tools, they were
hand-verified by a bunch of different people, all whom names are on
the patches are reviewers"

In function ip6_ra_control(), the pointer new_ra is allocated a memory
space via kmalloc(). And it is used in the following codes. However,
when there is a memory allocation error, kmalloc() fails. Thus null
pointer dereference may happen. And it will cause the kernel to crash.
Therefore, we should check the return value and handle the error.

If link-local packets are marked as enslaved to a VRF, then to allow
ping to the link-local from a vrf, the error handling for IPV6_PKTINFO
needs to be relaxed to also allow the pkt ipi6_ifindex to be that of a
slave device to the vrf.
Note that the real device also needs to be retrieved in icmp6_iif()
to set the ipv6 flow oif to this for icmp echo reply handling. The
recent commit 24b711edfc34 ("net/ipv6: Fix linklocal to global address
with VRF") takes care of this, so the sdif does not need checking here.
This fix makes ping to link-local consistent with that to global
addresses, in that this can now be done from within the same VRF that
the address is in.

The socket option will be enabled by default to ensure current behaviour
is not changed. This is the same for the IPv4 version.
A socket bound to in6addr_any and a specific port will receive all traffic
on that port. Analogue to IP_MULTICAST_ALL, disable this behaviour, if
one or more multicast groups were joined (using said socket) and only
pass on multicast traffic from groups, which were explicitly joined via
this socket.
Without this option disabled a socket (system even) joined to multiple
multicast groups is very hard to get right. Filtering by destination
address has to take place in user space to avoid receiving multicast
traffic from other multicast groups, which might have traffic on the same
port.
The extension of the IP_MULTICAST_ALL socketoption to just apply to ipv6,
too, is not done to avoid changing the behaviour of current applications.

This an IPv6 version patch of "ipv4/igmp: init group mode as INCLUDE when
join source group". From RFC3810, part 6.1:
If no per-interface state existed for that
multicast address before the change (i.e., the change consisted of
creating a new per-interface record), or if no state exists after the
change (i.e., the change consisted of deleting a per-interface
record), then the "non-existent" state is considered to have an
INCLUDE filter mode and an empty source list.
Which means a new multicast group should start with state IN(). Currently,
for MLDv2 SSM JOIN_SOURCE_GROUP mode, we first call ipv6_sock_mc_join(),
then ip6_mc_source(), which will trigger a TO_IN() message instead of
ALLOW().
The issue was exposed by commit a052517a8ff65 ("net/multicast: should not
send source list records when have filter mode change"). Before this change,
we sent both ALLOW(A) and TO_IN(A). Now, we only send TO_IN(A).
Fix it by adding a new parameter to init group mode. Also add some wrapper
functions to avoid changing too much code.
v1 -> v2:
In the first version I only cleared the group change record. But this is not
enough. Because when a new group join, it will init as EXCLUDE and trigger
a filter mode change in ip/ip6_mc_add_src(), which will clear all source
addresses sf_crcount. This will prevent early joined address sending state
change records if multi source addressed joined at the same time.
In v2 patch, I fixed it by directly initializing the mode to INCLUDE for SSM
JOIN_SOURCE_GROUP. I also split the original patch into two separated patches
for IPv4 and IPv6.
There is also a difference between v4 and v6 version. For IPv6, when the
interface goes down and up, we will send correct state change record with
unspecified IPv6 address (::) with function ipv6_mc_up(). But after DAD is
completed, we resend the change record TO_IN() in mld_send_initial_cr().
Fix it by sending ALLOW() for INCLUDE mode in mld_send_initial_cr().

While not present in the backtrace, ipv6_renew_option() ends up calling
access_ok() via the following chain:
access_ok()
_copy_from_user()
copy_from_user()
ipv6_renew_option()
The fix presented in this patch is to perform the userspace copy
earlier in the call chain such that it is only called when the option
data is actually coming from userspace; that place is
do_ipv6_setsockopt(). Not only does this solve the problem seen in
the backtrace above, it also allows us to simplify the code quite a
bit by removing ipv6_renew_options_kern() completely. We also take
this opportunity to cleanup ipv6_renew_options()/ipv6_renew_option()
a small amount as well.
This patch is heavily based on a rough patch by Al Viro. I've taken
his original patch, converted a kmemdup() call in do_ipv6_setsockopt()
to a memdup_user() call, made better use of the e_inval jump target in
the same function, and cleaned up the use ipv6_renew_option() by
ipv6_renew_options().

The problem, as Florian noted, is that nf_setsockopt() is always
called with the socket held, even if the lock itself is required only
for very tight scopes and only for some operation.
This patch addresses the issues moving the lock_sock() call only
where really needed, namely in ipv*_getorigdst(), so that nf_setsockopt()
does not need anymore to acquire both locks.

Commit 513674b5a2c9 ("net: reevalulate autoflowlabel setting after
sysctl setting") removed the initialisation of
ipv6_pinfo::autoflowlabel and added a second flag to indicate
whether this field or the net namespace default should be used.
The getsockopt() handling for this case was not updated, so it
currently returns 0 for all sockets for which IPV6_AUTOFLOWLABEL is
not explicitly enabled. Fix it to return the effective value, whether
that has been set at the socket or net namespace level.

sysctl.ip6.auto_flowlabels is default 1. In our hosts, we set it to 2.
If sockopt doesn't set autoflowlabel, outcome packets from the hosts are
supposed to not include flowlabel. This is true for normal packet, but
not for reset packet.
The reason is ipv6_pinfo.autoflowlabel is set in sock creation. Later if
we change sysctl.ip6.auto_flowlabels, the ipv6_pinfo.autoflowlabel isn't
changed, so the sock will keep the old behavior in terms of auto
flowlabel. Reset packet is suffering from this problem, because reset
packet is sent from a special control socket, which is created at boot
time. Since sysctl.ipv6.auto_flowlabels is 1 by default, the control
socket will always have its ipv6_pinfo.autoflowlabel set, even after
user set sysctl.ipv6.auto_flowlabels to 1, so reset packset will always
have flowlabel. Normal sock created before sysctl setting suffers from
the same issue. We can't even turn off autoflowlabel unless we kill all
socks in the hosts.
To fix this, if IPV6_AUTOFLOWLABEL sockopt is used, we use the
autoflowlabel setting from user, otherwise we always call
ip6_default_np_autolabel() which has the new settings of sysctl.
Note, this changes behavior a little bit. Before commit 42240901f7c4
(ipv6: Implement different admin modes for automatic flow labels), the
autoflowlabel behavior of a sock isn't sticky, eg, if sysctl changes,
existing connection will change autoflowlabel behavior. After that
commit, autoflowlabel behavior is sticky in the whole life of the sock.
With this patch, the behavior isn't sticky again.

So far we've been relying on sockopt(SOL_IP, IP_FREEBIND) being usable
even on IPv6 sockets.
However, it turns out it is perfectly reasonable to want to set freebind
on an AF_INET6 SOCK_RAW socket - but there is no way to set any SOL_IP
socket option on such a socket (they're all blindly errored out).
One use case for this is to allow spoofing src ip on a raw socket
via sendmsg cmsg.
Tested:
built, and booted
# python
>>> import socket
>>> SOL_IP = socket.SOL_IP
>>> SOL_IPV6 = socket.IPPROTO_IPV6
>>> IP_FREEBIND = 15
>>> IPV6_FREEBIND = 78
>>> s = socket.socket(socket.AF_INET6, socket.SOCK_DGRAM, 0)
>>> s.getsockopt(SOL_IP, IP_FREEBIND)
0
>>> s.getsockopt(SOL_IPV6, IPV6_FREEBIND)
0
>>> s.setsockopt(SOL_IPV6, IPV6_FREEBIND, 1)
>>> s.getsockopt(SOL_IP, IP_FREEBIND)
1
>>> s.getsockopt(SOL_IPV6, IPV6_FREEBIND)

ChunYu found a kernel warn_on during syzkaller fuzzing:

The warn_on happned when sk->sk_rmem_alloc wasn't 0 in inet_sock_destruct.
As after commit f970bd9e3a06 ("udp: implement memory accounting helpers"),
udp has changed to use udp_destruct_sock as sk_destruct where it would
udp_rmem_release all rmem.
But IPV6_ADDRFORM sockopt sets sk_destruct with inet_sock_destruct after
changing family to PF_INET. If rmem is not 0 at that time, and there is
no place to release rmem before calling inet_sock_destruct, the warn_on
will be triggered.
This patch is to fix it by not setting sk_destruct in IPV6_ADDRFORM sockopt
any more. As IPV6_ADDRFORM sockopt only works for tcp and udp. TCP sock has
already set it's sk_destruct with inet_sock_destruct and UDP has set with
udp_destruct_sock since they're created.
