* ALSA: isa: make snd_pcm_hardware constBhumika Goyal2017-08-171-2/+2
| | | | | | | | Make these const as they are only used in a copy operation. Done using Coccinelle. Signed-off-by: Bhumika Goyal <bhumirks@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* ALSA: gus: constify snd_pcm_ops structuresArvind Yadav2017-08-121-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | snd_pcm_ops are not supposed to change at runtime. All functions working with snd_pcm_ops provided by <sound/pcm.h> work with const snd_pcm_ops. So mark the non-const structs as const. Signed-off-by: Arvind Yadav <arvind.yadav.cs@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* ALSA: gus: Constify hw_constraintsTakashi Iwai2017-06-091-2/+2
| | | | | | | | snd_pcm_hw_constraint_list(), *_ratnums() and *_ratdens() receive the const pointers. Constify the corresponding static objects for better hardening. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* ALSA: gus: Convert to the new PCM opsTakashi Iwai2017-06-021-38/+59
| | | | | | | | | Replace the copy and the silence ops with the new PCM ops. For simplifying the code a bit, two local helpers are introduced here: get_bpos() and playback_copy_ack(). Reviewed-by: Takashi Sakamoto <o-takashi@sakamocchi.jp> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* ALSA: gus: remove unused local flagTakashi Sakamoto2017-05-241-27/+22
| | | | | | | | | | | | ALSA driver series for devices of Gravis Ultra Sound includes local variable 'snd_gf1_pcm_use_dma'. Although this is a flag to change behaviours of local implementations for 'struct snd_pcm_ops.copy' and 'struct snd_pcm_ops.silence', it's invariable during module lifetime. This commit removes this local variable and the relevant operations. Signed-off-by: Takashi Sakamoto <o-takashi@sakamocchi.jp> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* ALSA: sound/isa: constify snd_kcontrol_new structuresBhumika Goyal2017-05-211-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Declare snd_kcontrol_new structures as const as they are only passed an argument to the function snd_ctl_new1. This argument is of type const, so snd_kcontrol_new structures having this property can be made const. * ALSA: gus: Remove always NULL parametersLars-Peter Clausen2015-01-021-5/+1
| | | | | | | | | | snd_gf1_pcm_new() and snd_gf1_rawmidi_new() take a pointer to a pointer of a PCM/MIDI where if this parameter is provided the newly allocated object is stored. All callers pass NULL though, so remove the parameter. This makes the code a bit cleaner and shorter. Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* ALSA: sound/isa: convert nested spin_lock_irqsave to spin_lockJulia Lawall2009-07-191-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | If spin_lock_irqsave is called twice in a row with the same second argument, the interrupt state at the point of the second call overwrites the value saved by the first call. Indeed, the second call does not need to save the interrupt state, so it is changed to a simple spin_lock. The semantic match that finds this problem is as follows: (http://www.emn.fr/x-info/coccinelle/) // <smpl> @@ expression lock1,lock2; expression flags; @@ *spin_lock_irqsave(lock1,flags) ... when != flags *spin_lock_irqsave(lock2,flags) // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <julia@diku.dk> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>

* [ALSA] Remove sound/driver.hTakashi Iwai2008-01-311-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | This header file exists only for some hacks to adapt alsa-driver tree. It's useless for building in the kernel. Let's move a few lines in it to sound/core.h and remove it. With this patch, sound/driver.h isn't removed but has just a single compile warning to include it. This should be really killed in future. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
