* ASoC: es8328: replace codec to componentKuninori Morimoto2018-02-121-74/+73
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now we can replace Codec to Component. Let's do it. Note: xxx_codec_xxx() -> xxx_component_xxx() .idle_bias_off = 0 -> .idle_bias_on = 1 .ignore_pmdown_time = 0 -> .use_pmdown_time = 1 - -> .endianness = 1 - -> .non_legacy_dai_naming = 1 Signed-off-by: Kuninori Morimoto <kuninori.morimoto.gx@renesas.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
* ASoC: codecs: add const to snd_soc_codec_driver structuresBhumika Goyal2017-08-101-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Declare snd_soc_codec_driver structures as const as they are only passed as an argument to the function snd_soc_register_codec. This argument is of type const, so declare the structures with this property as const. In file codecs/sn95031.c, snd_soc_codec_driver structure is also used in a copy operation along with getting passed to snd_soc_register_codec. So, it can be made const too. * ASoC: es8328: Enabling support for 192kRomain Perier2017-03-061-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The master and slave modes don't share the same table for MCLK/LRCLK ratios. The slaves mode has bigger ratios that allow to use BCLK that matche sampling frequency of 192khz. This commit enables this rate only for slave mode, i.e it does not declare this frequency in sysclk_contraints, resulting to an error in master mode (not supported CLK). * ASoC: es8328: Simplify rates definitionRomain Perier2017-03-061-7/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Currently most of the standard rates are supported by this driver. Instead of defining each supported rate one by one, we use the SND macro SNDRV_PCM_RATE_8000_48000. Also adds support for 88.2khz as the codec supports it and the sys clocks are already supported. * ASoC: es8328: Let device auto detect ratios in slave modeRomain Perier2017-03-061-14/+25
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | In master mode, SCLK and LRCLK signals are generated by the CODEC when any of the ADC/DAC are enabled. SCLK is derived from MCLK via a programmable division set by BLK_DIV, LRCLK is derived from MCLK via another programmable division set by ADCFsRatio/DACFsRatio. In slave mode, SCLK and LRCLK signals are received as inputs and supplied externally. LRCLK and SCLK must be synchronously derived from MCLK with specific rates. The device can auto detect MCLK/LRCLK ratio according to a predefined table. LRCLK/SCLK ratio is usually 64 (SCLK = 64 * LRCLK) This commits adds support to let to device auto detect and decide which ratio to use. The mclkdiv2 and BCLK_DIV ratio and put to zero. * ASoC: es8328: Add support for slave modeRomain Perier2017-02-041-6/+14
| | | | | | | | | | Currently, the function that changes the DAI format only supports master mode. Trying to use a slave mode exits the function with -EINVAL and leave the codec misconfigured. This commits adds support for enabling the slave mode. Signed-off-by: Romain Perier <romain.perier@collabora.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
* ASoC: codec duplicated callback function goes to component on es8328Kuninori Morimoto2016-08-081-6/+8
| | | | | | | | | | codec driver and component driver has duplicated callback functions, and codec side functions are just copied to component side when register timing. This was quick-hack, but no longer needed. This patch moves these functions from codec driver to component driver. * ASoC: es8328: Set symmetric ratesJohn Keeping2016-05-101-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | Although the ES8328 does support different rates for capture and playback, only very limited combinations are supported (8kHz and 48kHz or 8.0182kHz and 44.1kHz) with most rates required to be symmetric. Instead of adding a lot of complexity for little gain, let's enforce symmetric rates. Signed-off-by: John Keeping <john@metanate.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>

* ASoC: es8328: Fix ADC format setupJohn Keeping2016-05-101-6/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | The ADCCONTROL4 and DACCONTROL1 registers are similar but not identical, with the DACCONTROL1 having each field starting one bit higher than ADCCONTROL4. Instead of introducing a magic shift, add new constants for the values in ADCCONTROL4 and use a second variable to setup the ADC. * ASoC: es8328: Move clock setup to hw_paramsJohn Keeping2016-05-101-15/+16
| | | | | | | | | This ensures that the clock is setup after its frequency has been set; the existing code in set_dai_fmt may be called before the clock rate has been set resulting in an incorrect configuration. * ASoC: es8328: Fix shifts for mixer switchesJohn Keeping2015-12-121-8/+8
| | | | | | | | These are all off by one; the playback and bypass switches are the top two bits of the registers, which are at shifts 7 and 6 not 8 and 7. Signed-off-by: John Keeping <john@metanate.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
* ASoC: es8328: Fix deemphasis valuesJohn Keeping2015-12-091-8/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | This is using completely the wrong mask and value when updating the register. Since the correct values are already defined in the header, switch to using a table with explicit constants rather than shifting the array index. * ASoC: es8328: harmless underflow in es8328_put_deemph()Dan Carpenter2015-10-221-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Valid values for "deemph" are zero and one but we accidentally allow negative values as well. It's harmless but it causes static checker warnings and we may as well clean it up. Signed-off-by: Dan Carpenter <dan.carpenter@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
* ASoC: es8328: Replace direct snd_soc_codec dapm field accessLars-Peter Clausen2015-05-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | The dapm field of the snd_soc_codec struct is eventually going to be removed, in preparation for this replace all manual access to codec->dapm.bias_level with snd_soc_codec_get_bias_level(). * ASoC: Move bias level update to the coreLars-Peter Clausen2015-04-271-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | All drivers have the same line at the end of the set_bias_level callback to update the bias_level state. Move this update into snd_soc_dapm_force_bias_level() and remove them from the drivers. Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
* ASoC: es8238: Fix wrong value references for boolean kctlTakashi Iwai2015-03-101-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | The correct values referred by a boolean control are value.integer.value[], not value.enumerated.item[]. The former is long while the latter is int, so it's even incompatible on 64bit architectures. * ASoC: es8328: Cleanup manual bias level transitionsLars-Peter Clausen2014-09-061-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | Set the CODEC driver's suspend_bias_off flag rather than manually going to SND_SOC_BIAS_OFF in suspend and SND_SOC_BIAS_STANDBY in resume. This makes the code a bit shorter and cleaner. Signed-off-by: Lars-Peter Clausen <lars@metafoo.de> Signed-off-by: Mark Brown <broonie@kernel.org>
* ASoC: es8328: fix error return code in es8328_codec_probe()Wei Yongjun2014-09-011-0/+1
