* ALSA: usb: Convert to snd_card_new() with a device pointerTakashi Iwai2014-02-121-3/+2
| | | | | | Also remove superfluous snd_card_set_dev() calls. Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* ALSA: 6fire: Fix probe of multiple cardsTakashi Iwai2013-10-291-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | The probe code of snd-usb-6fire driver overrides the devices[] pointer wrongly without checking whether it's already occupied or not. This would screw up the device disconnection later. Spotted by coverity CID 141423. Cc: <stable@vger.kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>

|\ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | git://git.kernel.org/pub/scm/linux/kernel/git/broonie/sound into for-next ASoC: Updates for v3.12 - DAPM is now mandatory for CODEC drivers in order to avoid the repeated regressions in the special cases for non-DAPM CODECs and make it easier to integrate with other components on boards. All existing drivers have had some level of DAPM support added. - A lot of cleanups in DAPM plus support for maintaining controls in a specific state while a DAPM widget all contributed by Lars-Peter Clausen. - Core helpers for bitbanged AC'97 reset from Markus Pargmann. - New drivers and support for Analog Devices ADAU1702 and ADAU1401(a), Asahi Kasei Microdevices AK4554, Atmel AT91ASM9x5 and WM8904 based machines, Freescale S/PDIF and SSI AC'97, Renesas R-Car SoCs, Samsung Exynos5420 SoCs, Texas Instruments PCM1681 and PCM1792A and Wolfson Microelectronics WM8997. - Support for building drivers that can support it cross-platform for compile test.

| * ALSA: 6fire: fix DMA issues with URB transfer_buffer usageJussi Kivilinna2013-08-072-6/+34
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Patch fixes 6fire not to use stack as URB transfer_buffer. URB buffers need to be DMA-able, which stack is not. Furthermore, transfer_buffer should not be allocated as part of larger device structure because DMA coherency issues and patch fixes this issue too. * ALSA: usb: uniform style used in MODULE_SUPPORTED_DEVICE()Antonio Ospite2013-06-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | In sound/usb/card.c and sound/usb/misc/ua101.c there are no spaces between the vendor and the device names, use this style in the other drivers too. This also helps keeping consistency when new drivers copies from the ones already in the mainline tree. | | | | | | | | | | Check only the uppermost 16 bits instead of the whole 32 bits of the version information. Do this because all firmware version tested with this version information worked correctly and the strict check causes problems for several users. * ALSA: USB: adjust for changed 3.8 USB APIClemens Ladisch2013-04-291-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | The recent changes in the USB API ("implement new semantics for URB_ISO_ASAP") made the former meaning of the URB_ISO_ASAP flag the default, and changed this flag to mean that URBs can be delayed. This is not the behaviour wanted by any of the audio drivers because it leads to discontinuous playback with very small period sizes. Therefore, our URBs need to be submitted without this flag. * ALSA: usb6fire: prevent driver panic state when stoppingJurgen Kramer2012-12-071-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | The patch below prevents the 6fire usb driver going into panic state when stopping playing. On some systems the urb in handler (usb6fire_pcm_in_urb_handler) is being called while urbs are being killed off, this causes the driver to set panic state and can result in the kernel warning 'URB %p submitted while active'. | * ALSA: module_param: make bool parameters really boolRusty Russell2011-12-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | module_param(bool) used to counter-intuitively take an int. In fddd5201 (mid-2009) we allowed bool or int/unsigned int using a messy trick. It's time to remove the int/unsigned int option. For this version it'll simply give a warning, but it'll break next kernel version. * | USB: convert sound/* to use module_usb_driver()Greg Kroah-Hartman2011-11-181-13/+2
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This converts the drivers in sound/* to use the module_usb_driver() macro which makes the code smaller and a bit simpler. Added bonus is that it removes some unneeded kernel log messages about drivers loading and/or unloading. * ALSA: 6fire - Fix signedness bugTorsten Schenk2011-06-161-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Fixed remaining issues of the signedness bug discovered by Dan Carpenter. A check was remaining that tests if unsigned rt->rate is >= 0. Changed that so that rt->rate now consistently uses ARRAY_SIZE(rates) as invalid rate value and not -1. * ALSA: 6fire: Fix double-free bug in usb6fire_fw_ezusb_upload()Jesper Juhl2011-06-141-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | We have a double-free bug in sound/usb/6fire/firmware.c::usb6fire_fw_ezusb_upload(). We already call release_firmware(fw) on line 258, so when we then do it again after usb6fire_fw_ezusb_write() returns <0, we have a double-free. Easily fixed by just removing the last call to release_firmware(). Signed-off-by: Jesper Juhl <jj@chaosbits.net> Signed-off-by: Takashi Iwai <tiwai@suse.de>
* ALSA: 6fire: Don't leak firmware in error pathJesper Juhl2011-06-021-0/+1

| | | | | | | | | | rt->rate is an unsigned char so it's never equal to -1. It's not a huge problem because the invalid rate is caught inside the call to usb6fire_pcm_set_rate() which returns -EINVAL.
