* treewide: switch the timer frequency to 100 HzRui Salvaterra2021-04-212-4/+0
| | | | | | | | Some targets select HZ=100, others HZ=250. There's no reason to select a higher timer frequency (and 100 Hz are available in every architecture), so change all targets to 100 Hz. Signed-off-by: Rui Salvaterra <rsalvaterra@gmail.com>
* treewide: remove redundant ubifs kconfig symbolsRui Salvaterra2021-04-212-8/+0
| | | | | | | For the targets which enable ubifs, these symbols are already part of the generic kconfigs. Drop them from the target kconfigs. Signed-off-by: Rui Salvaterra <rsalvaterra@gmail.com>
* treewide: remove execute bit and shebang from board.d filesAdrian Schmutzler2021-03-061-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | So far, board.d files were having execute bit set and contained a shebang. However, they are just sourced in board_detect, with an apparantly unnecessary check for execute permission beforehand. Replace this check by one for existance and make the board.d files "normal" files, as would be expected in /etc anyway. Note: This removes an apparantly unused '#!/bin/sh /etc/rc.common' in target/linux/bcm47xx/base-files/etc/board.d/01_network Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de>
* kernel: bump 5.10 to 5.10.20Rui Salvaterra2021-03-051-8/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Also add a new kconfig symbol (CONFIG_KCMP) to the generic config, disabling the SYS_kcmp syscall (it was split from CONFIG_CHECKPOINT_RESTORE, which is disabled by default, so the previous behaviour is kept). Removed (upstreamed) patches: 070-net-icmp-pass-zeroed-opts-from-icmp-v6-_ndo_send-bef.patch 081-wireguard-device-do-not-generate-ICMP-for-non-IP-pac.patch 082-wireguard-queueing-get-rid-of-per-peer-ring-buffers.patch 083-wireguard-kconfig-use-arm-chacha-even-with-no-neon.patch 830-v5.12-0002-usb-serial-option-update-interface-mapping-for-ZTE-P685M.patch Manually rebased patches: 313-helios4-dts-status-led-alias.patch 104-powerpc-mpc85xx-change-P2020RDB-dts-file-for-OpenWRT.patch Run tested: ath79 (TL-WDR3600) mvebu (Turris Omnia) Signed-off-by: Rui Salvaterra <rsalvaterra@gmail.com>
* mpc85xx: p2020: Fix nand driver probePawel Dembicki2021-03-011-1/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | At this moment driver start fail with error: [ 3.771991] fsl,elbc-fcm-nand: probe of ffa00000.nand failed with error -22 elbc-fcm-nand driver use legacy method of ecc mode detection. It detect hw/sw ecc mode when system configure it to "none". [1] This patch adds 'nand-ecc-mode = "none"' propoerty to use generic driver ecc mode detection. * mpc85xx: p2020: fix cfi-nor detectionPawel Dembicki2021-03-011-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | At this moment p2020rdb has broken images, because NOR memory connected to eLBC bus isn't detected. In 642b1e8dbed7 linux tree commit, config dependencies of MTD_PHYSMAP_OF was changed and now MTD_PHYSMAP is required. This patch adds MTD_PHYSMAP option to kernel config in p2020 subtarget and fix booting of p2020rdb. * treewide: provide global default for SUPPORTED_DEVICESAdrian Schmutzler2021-01-231-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The majority of our targets provide a default value for the variable SUPPORTED_DEVICES, which is used in images to check against the compatible on a running device: SUPPORTED_DEVICES := $(subst _,$(comma),$(1)) At the moment, this is implemented in the Device/Default block of the individual targets or even subtargets. However, since we standardized device names and compatible in the recent past, almost all targets are following the same scheme now: device/image name: vendor_model compatible: vendor,model The equal redundant definitions are a symptom of this process. Consequently, this patch moves the definition to image.mk making it a global default. For the few targets not using the scheme above, SUPPORTED_DEVICES will be defined to a different value in Device/Default anyway, overwriting the default. In other words: This change is supposed to be cosmetic. This can be used as a global measure to get the current compatible with: $(firstword $(SUPPORTED_DEVICES)) (Though this is not precisely an achievement of this commit.) * treewide: drop shebang from non-executable target filesAdrian Schmutzler2020-06-161-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This drops the shebang from all target files for /lib and /etc/uci-defaults folders, as these are sourced and the shebang is useless. While at it, fix the executable flag on a few of these files. This does not touch ar71xx, as this target is just used for backporting now and applying cosmetic changes would just complicate things. * kernel: make kmod-hwmon-core selected by dependent modulesSungbo Eo2020-03-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently kmod-hwmon-* will not get into images unless kmod-hwmon-core is added to DEVICE_PACKAGES as well. By changing the dependencies from "depends on" to "select", we do not have the issue anymore. Furthermore, we can remove most occurrences of the package from DEVICE_PACKAGES and similar variables, as it is now pulled by dependent modules such as: - kmod-hwmon-gpiofan - kmod-hwmon-lm63 - kmod-hwmon-lm75 - kmod-hwmon-lm85 - kmod-hwmon-lm90 Signed-off-by: Sungbo Eo <mans0n@gorani.run> [do not touch ar71xx, adjust line wrapping] Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de>

* treewide: move mktplinkfw to tplink-v1-image in image-commands.mkAdrian Schmutzler2020-01-081-27/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This move the slightly different target-specific implementations of mktplinkfw from the targets to include/image-commands.mk and renames it to tplink-v1-image. Having a common version will increase consistency between implementation and will complete the tplink build command already present in the new location. Due to the slight differences of the original implementations, this also does some adjustments to the device build commands/variables. This also moves rootfs_align as this is required as dependency. Tested on: - TL-WDR4300 v1 (ath79, factory) - TL-WDR4900 v1 (mpc85xx, sysupgrade) - RE210 v1 (ramips, see Tested-by) Signed-off-by: Adrian Schmutzler <freifunk@adrianschmutzler.de> Tested-by: Christoph Krapp <achterin@googlemail.com>

* mpc85xx: correct TP-LINK TL-WDR4900 MAC addressesDavid Bauer2019-10-152-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This commit fixes TP-Link TL-WDR4900 v1 MAC address assignment. Previously, the MAC addrss was read for the ethernet from the "config" partition. However, the content of this partition is dependent on the firmware which was previously installed on the device. Switch the MAC address source to the U-Boot partition, where the MAC address is always present at a fixed partition. The partition was previously already used for the WiFi MAC-addresses. * treewide: move calibration data extraction function to libraryAdrian Schmutzler2019-10-131-29/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This moves the almost identical calibration data extraction functions present multiple times in several targets to a single library file /lib/functions/caldata.sh. Functions are renamed with more generic names to merge different variants that only differ in their names. Most of the targets used find_mtd_chardev, while some used find_mtd_part inside the extraction code. To merge them, the more abundant version with find_mtd_chardev is used in the common code.
