* parallel: Drop explicit fallback_chip_X boilerplateEdward O'Callaghan2023-01-111-6/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A NULL func pointer is necessary and sufficient for the condition `NULL func pointer => fallback_chip_X' as to not need this explicit specification. Therefore drop the explicit need to specify these fallback callback function pointer in the par_master struct. This is a reasonable default for every driver in the tree. Furthermore, move the 'fallback_chip_X()' func from the generic programmer.c register logic into its relevant home of parallel.c and make static local to clean up link-time symbol space. This simplifies the code and driver development. * tree/: Convert flashchips db to use indirection for erase_blockEdward O'Callaghan2022-11-111-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This paves the way to allow for the conversion of flashchip erase_block func ptr to enumerate values. This change should be a NOP. TEST=`diff -u <(objdump -D flashchips.o_bk) <(objdump -D flashchips.o)`. * drivers/: Make 'fallback_{un}map' the default unless definedEdward O'Callaghan2022-10-081-2/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Drop the explicit need to specify the default 'fallback_{un}map' callback function pointer from the 'programmer_entry' struct. This is a reasonable default for every other driver in the tree with only a select few exceptions [atavia, serprog, dummyflasher and internal]. Thus this simplifies driver development and paves way to remove the 'programmer' global handle. * drivers/: Make 'internal_delay' the default unless definedEdward O'Callaghan2022-09-271-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Drop the explicit need to specify the default 'internal_delay' callback function pointer in the programmer_entry struct. This is a reasonable default for every other driver in the tree with only the two exceptions of ch341a_spi.c and serprog.c. Thus this simplifies driver development. * Add atapromise programmerJoseph C. Lehner2016-01-161-0/+177
Supported controllers are Promise PDC20262 (FastTrak66/Ultra66), PDC20265 (FastTrak100 Lite/Ultra100), PDC20267 (FastTrak100/Ultra100). At least the Ultra100 only has address lines A0-A14 wired up, limiting addressable chip size to 32 kB. The flash chips mounted on those controllers usually is 128 kB, i.e. parts of the flash chip are inaccessible. As a workaround, the driver implicitly truncates the size of all flash chips to 32 kB. Works well for the factory installed flash. Do NOT use as a generic programmer for chips >32 kB. Corresponding to flashrom svn r1916. Signed-off-by: Joseph C.
