* doc-rst: Remove the media docbookMauro Carvalho Chehab2016-07-281-471/+0
| | | | | | | | | | Now that all media documentation was converted to Sphinx, we should get rid of the old DocBook one, as we don't want people to submit patches against the old stuff. * [media] DocBook media: improve event documentationHans Verkuil2015-04-021-4/+111
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | It always annoyed me that the event type documentation was separate from the struct v4l2_event documentation. This patch moves it all to one place, VIDIOC_DQEVENT. This makes much more sense. Also changed the 'changes-flags' ref to 'ctrl-changes-flags' since this referred to control changes. There is a src-changes-flags as well, so 'changes-flags' was a bit vague. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>

* [media] DocBook media: add missing dqevent src_change fieldHans Verkuil2014-07-171-0/+6
| | | | | | | | The v4l2_event union has a new src_change field, but that was never added to the VIDIOC_DQEVENT documentation of that union. Fixed. Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <m.chehab@samsung.com>

* [media] v4l: Add source change eventArun Kumar K2014-05-231-0/+33
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This event indicates that the video device has encountered a source parameter change during runtime. This can typically be a resolution change detected by a video decoder OR a format change detected by an input connector. This needs to be nofified to the userspace and the application may be expected to reallocate buffers before proceeding. The application can subscribe to events on a specific pad or input port which it is interested in. * [media] v4l2-ctrl: Add helper function for the controls range updateSylwester Nawrocki2013-02-051-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch adds a helper function that allows to modify range, i.e. minimum, maximum, step and default value of a v4l2 control, after the control has been created and initialized. This is helpful in situations when range of a control depends on user configurable parameters, e.g. camera sensor absolute exposure time depending on an output image resolution and frame rate. v4l2_ctrl_modify_range() function allows to modify range of an INTEGER, BOOL, MENU, INTEGER_MENU and BITMASK type controls. Based on a patch from Hans Verkuil http://patchwork.linuxtv.org/patch/8654. * [media] DocBook: Move all media docbook stuff into its own directoryMauro Carvalho Chehab2011-07-271-0/+131
This patch addresses several issues pointed by Randy Dunlap <rdunlap@xenotime.net> at changeset ece722c: - In the generated index.html file, "media" is listed first, but it should be listed in alphabetical order, not first. - The generated files are (hidden) in .tmpmedia/ - The link from the top-level index.html file to "media" is to media/index.html, but the file is actually in .tmpmedia/media/index.html - Please build docs with and without using "O=builddir" and test that. - Would it be possible for media to have its own Makefile instead of merging into this one? Due to the way cleandocs target works, I had to rename the media DocBook to media_api, otherwise cleandocs would remove the /media directory.
