* dt-bindings: display: bridge: tc358762: Document reset-gpiosMarek Vasut2023-06-011-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | This chip has one reset GPIO input, document it. The reset GPIO is optional as it is sometimes not connected on some hardware. * dt-bindings: Fix SPI and I2C bus node names in examplesRob Herring2023-03-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | SPI and I2C bus node names are expected to be "spi" or "i2c", respectively, with nothing else, a unit-address, or a '-N' index. A pattern of 'spi0' or 'i2c0' or similar has crept in. Fix all these cases. Mostly scripted with the following commands: git grep -l '\si2c[0-9] {' Documentation/devicetree/ | xargs sed -i -e 's/i2c[0-9] {/i2c {/' git grep -l '\sspi[0-9] {' Documentation/devicetree/ | xargs sed -i -e 's/spi[0-9] {/spi {/' With this, a few errors in examples were exposed and fixed. * dt-bindings: display: bridge: Drop requirement on input port for DSI devicesMaxime Ripard2022-04-051-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | MIPI-DSI devices, if they are controlled through the bus itself, have to be described as a child node of the controller they are attached to. Thus, there's no requirement on the controller having an OF-Graph output port to model the data stream: it's assumed that it would go from the parent to the child. However, some bridges controlled through the DSI bus still require an input OF-Graph port, thus requiring a controller with an OF-Graph output port. This prevents those bridges from being used with the controllers that do not have one without any particular reason to. Let's drop that requirement. * dt-bindings: display: Use OF graph schemaRob Herring2021-01-111-47/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that we have a graph schema, rework the display related schemas to use it. Mostly this is adding a reference to graph.yaml and dropping duplicate parts from schemas. In panel-common.yaml, 'ports' is dropped. Any binding using 'ports' should be one with more than 1 port node, and the binding must define what each port is. Note that ti,sn65dsi86.yaml, ti,tfp410,yaml and toshiba,tc358768.yaml will need further updates to use video-interfaces.yaml once that lands.
