There has been more than a few threads which went idle before
the merge window and now people came back to them and started
asking about next steps.
We currently tell people to be patient and not to repost too
often. Our "not too often", however, is still a few orders of
magnitude faster than other subsystems. Or so I feel after
hearing people talk about review rates at LPC.
Clarify in the doc that if the discussion went idle for a week
on netdev, 95% of the time there's no point waiting longer.

Update the NewVision NV3051D compatible strings by adding a new panel,
the powkiddy,rk2023-panel, and removing another entry, the
anbernic,rg353v-panel.
The rk2023-panel is similar to the rg353p-panel but has slightly
different timings so it needs a new string.
The rg353v-panel is duplicate to the rg353p-panel, so remove it. No
current devices use it and changes to the driver mean it is no longer
valid as a compatible string.

Currently, job flow control is implemented simply by limiting the number
of jobs in flight. Therefore, a scheduler is initialized with a credit
limit that corresponds to the number of jobs which can be sent to the
hardware.
This implies that for each job, drivers need to account for the maximum
job size possible in order to not overflow the ring buffer.
However, there are drivers, such as Nouveau, where the job size has a
rather large range. For such drivers it can easily happen that job
submissions not even filling the ring by 1% can block subsequent
submissions, which, in the worst case, can lead to the ring run dry.
In order to overcome this issue, allow for tracking the actual job size
instead of the number of jobs. Therefore, add a field to track a job's
credit count, which represents the number of credits a job contributes
to the scheduler's credit limit.

Occasionally it's necessary for drivers to modify the SADs of an ELD,
but it's not so cool to have drivers poke at the ELD buffer directly.
Using the helpers to translate between 3-byte SAD and struct cea_sad,
add ELD helpers to get/set the SADs from/to an ELD.

The drm_edid.[ch] files are starting to be a bit crowded, and with plans
to add more ELD related functionality, it's perhaps cleanest to split
the ELD code out to a header of its own.
Include drm_eld.h from drm_edid.h for starters, and leave it to
follow-up work to only include drm_eld.h where needed.

Use QAIC_TIMESYNC MHI channel to send UTC time to device in SBL

Device and Host have a time synchronization mechanism that happens once
during boot when device is in SBL mode. After that, in mission-mode there
is no timesync. In an experiment after continuous operation, device time
drifted w.r.t. host by approximately 3 seconds per day. This drift leads
to mismatch in timestamp of device and Host logs. To correct this
implement periodic timesync in driver. This timesync is carried out via
QAIC_TIMESYNC_PERIODIC MHI channel.

Several virtualization use-cases either don't support 32 MultiMSIs
(Xen/VMware) or have significant drawbacks to their use (KVM's vIOMMU,
which is required to support 32 MSI, needs to allocate an alternate
system memory space for each device using vIOMMU (e.g. 8GB VM mem and
2 cards => 8 + 2 * 8 = 24GB host memory required)). Support these
cases by enabling a 1 MSI fallback mode.
Whenever all 32 MSIs requested are not available, a second request for
a single MSI is made. Its success is the initiator of single MSI mode.
This mode causes all interrupts generated by the device to be directed
to the 0th MSI (firmware >=v1.10 will do this as a response to the PCIe
MSI capability configuration). Likewise, all interrupt handlers for the
device are registered to the 0th MSI.
Since the DBC interrupt handler checks if the DBC is in use or if
there is any pending changes, the 'spurious' interrupts are
disregarded. If there is work to be done, the standard threaded IRQ
handler is dispatched.
On every interrupt, the MHI handler wakes up its threaded interrupt
handler, and attempts to wake any waiters for MHI state events.
Performance is within +-0.6% for test cases that typify real world
use. Larger differences ([-4,+132]%, avg +47%) exist for very simple
tasks (e.g. addition) compiled for single NSPs. It is assumed that the
small work and many interrupts typically cause contention (e.g. 16 NSPs
vs 4 CPUs), as evidenced by the standard deviation between runs also
decreasing (r=-0.48 between delta(Performace_test) and
delta(StdDev_test/Avg_test))

the memory layout section. As such, Sphinx renders the note directive not
only on the actual note, but until the end of doc.
Indent the directive so that only the actual protocol version number

In /proc/cpuinfo, most of the information we show for each processor is
specific to that hart: marchid, mvendorid, mimpid, processor, hart,
compatible, and the mmu size. But the ISA string gets filtered through a
lowest common denominator mask, so that if one CPU is missing an ISA
extension, no CPUs will show it.
Now that we track the ISA extensions for each hart, let's report ISA
extension info accurately per-hart in /proc/cpuinfo. We cannot change
the "isa:" line, as usermode may be relying on that line to show only
the common set of extensions supported across all harts. Add a new "hart
isa" line instead, which reports the true set of extensions for that
hart.

BPF kfuncs are meant to be called from BPF programs. Accordingly, most
kfuncs are not called from anywhere in the kernel, which the
-Wmissing-prototypes warning is unhappy about. We've peppered
__diag_ignore_all("-Wmissing-prototypes", ... everywhere kfuncs are
defined in the codebase to suppress this warning.
This patch adds two macros meant to bound one or many kfunc definitions.
All existing kfunc definitions which use these __diag calls to suppress
-Wmissing-prototypes are migrated to use the newly-introduced macros.
A new __diag_ignore_all - for "-Wmissing-declarations" - is added to the
__bpf_kfunc_start_defs macro based on feedback from Andrii on an earlier
version of this patch [0] and another recent mailing list thread [1].
In the future we might need to ignore different warnings or do other
kfunc-specific things. This change will make it easier to make such
modifications for all kfunc defs.

Since commit 833bac7ec392 ("net/smc: Fix setsockopt and sysctl to
specify same buffer size again") the SMC protocol uses its own
default values for the smc.rmem and smc.wmem sysctl variables
which are no longer derived from the TCP IPv4 buffer sizes.
Fixup the kernel documentation to reflect this change, too.

The Samsung touchscreen controllers are often used with external pull-up
for the interrupt line and the I2C lines, so we might need to enable
a regulator to bring the lines into usable state. Otherwise, this might
cause spurious interrupts and reading from I2C will fail.
Document support for a "vddio-supply" that is enabled by the cyttsp5
driver so that the regulator gets enabled when needed.

This property configures the Aspeed watchdog timer's reset mask, which
controls which peripherals are reset when the watchdog timer expires.
Some platforms require that certain devices be left untouched across a
reboot; aspeed,reset-mask can now be used to express such constraints.
