* mtd: nand: omap: combine different flavours of 1-bit hamming ecc schemesPekon Gupta2013-11-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | OMAP NAND driver currently supports multiple flavours of 1-bit Hamming ecc-scheme, like: - OMAP_ECC_HAMMING_CODE_DEFAULT 1-bit hamming ecc code using software library - OMAP_ECC_HAMMING_CODE_HW 1-bit hamming ecc-code using GPMC h/w engine - OMAP_ECC_HAMMING_CODE_HW_ROMCODE 1-bit hamming ecc-code using GPMC h/w engin with ecc-layout compatible to ROM code. This patch combines above multiple ecc-schemes into single implementation: - OMAP_ECC_HAM1_CODE_HW 1-bit hamming ecc-code using GPMC h/w engine with ROM-code compatible ecc-layout. * ARM: OMAP2+: nand: reorganize gpmc timing valuesChristoph Fritz2013-05-161-0/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This patch removes omap2_nand_gpmc_retime() which was used to quirk some timing values before gpmc_cs_set_timings(). Due to recent changes, gpmc_cs_set_timings() has evolved so that there is no more need for a retime function. To keep the gpmc configuration consistent for legacy board files, this patch also adds oe_on and we_on to nand_default_timings[] as they would be by the retime function. * ARM: OMAP: Split plat/cpu.h into local soc.h for mach-omap1 and mach-omap2Tony Lindgren2012-10-181-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We want to remove plat/cpu.h. To do this, let's first split it to private soc.h to mach-omap1 and mach-omap2. We have to keep plat/cpu.h around until the remaining drivers are fixed, so let's include the local soc.h in plat/cpu.h and for drivers still including plat/cpu.h. Once the drivers are fixed not to include plat/cpu.h, we can remove the file. This is needed for the ARM common zImage support. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Helper function for updating nand platform data has been added the capability to take timing structure arguement. Usage of omap_nand_flash_init() has been replaced by modifed one, omap_nand_flash_init was doing things similar to board_nand_init except that NAND CS# were being acquired based on bootloader setting. As CS# is hardwired for a given board, acquiring gpmc CS# has been removed, and updated with the value on board. NAND CS# used in beagle board & omap3evm was found to be CS0. Thomas Weber <thomas.weber.linux@googlemail.com> reported that value of devkit8000 to be CS0. Overo board was found to be using CS0 based on u-boot, while google grep says omap3touchbook too has CS0. * ARM: OMAP: Split plat/hardware.h, use local soc.h for omap2+Tony Lindgren2012-09-121-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As the plat and mach includes need to disappear for single zImage work, we need to remove plat/hardware.h. Do this by splitting plat/hardware.h into omap1 and omap2+ specific files. The old plat/hardware.h already has omap1 only defines, so it gets moved to mach/hardware.h for omap1. For omap2+, we use the local soc.h that for now just includes the related SoC headers to keep this patch more readable. Note that the local soc.h still includes plat/cpu.h that can be dealt with in later patches. Let's also include plat/serial.h from common.h for all the board-*.c files. This allows making the include files local later on without patching these files again. Note that only minimal changes are done in this patch for the drivers/watchdog/omap_wdt.c driver to keep things compiling. Further patches are needed to eventually remove cpu_is_omap usage in the drivers. Also only minimal changes are done to sound/soc/omap/* to remove the unneeded includes and to define OMAP44XX_MCPDM_L3_BASE locally so there's no need to include omap44xx.h. While at it, also sort some of the includes in the standard way. * ARM: OMAP2+: Prepare for irqs.h removalTony Lindgren2012-09-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | As the interrupts should only be defined in the platform_data, and eventually coming from device tree, there's no need to define them in header files. Let's remove the hardcoded references to irqs.h and fix up the includes so we don't rely on headers included in irqs.h. Note that we're defining OMAP_INTC_START as 0 to the interrupts. This will be needed when we enable SPARSE_IRQ. For some drivers we need to add #include <plat/cpu.h> for now until these drivers are fixed to remove cpu_is_omapxxxx() usage. While at it, sort som of the includes the standard way, and add the trailing commas where they are missing in the related data structures. Note that for drivers/staging/tidspbridge we just define things locally. Cc: Paul Walmsley <paul@pwsan.com> Signed-off-by: Tony Lindgren <tony@atomide.com>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit 8259573b (ARM: OMAP2+: nand: Make board_onenand_init() visible to board code) broke the build for configs with OneNAND disabled. * ARM: OMAP2+: Mark omap_hsmmc_init and omap_mux related functions as __initTony Lindgren2012-02-241-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that omap hsmmc init is split into two functions, it's safe to mark omap_hsmmc_init and omap_mux related functions to __init. This basically reverts the following fixes for the case where TWL was compiled as a module: a98f77b (ARM: omap: fix section mismatch warning for sdp3430_twl_gpio_setup()) 8930b4e (ARM: omap: fix section mismatch warnings in mux.c caused by hsmmc.c) Additionally it fixes up the remaining section warnings for all callers of omap_mux functions. * omap: cleanup NAND platform dataGrazvydas Ignotas2011-06-291-4/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | omap_nand_platform_data fields 'options', 'gpio_irq', 'nand_setup' and 'dma_channel' are never referenced by the NAND driver, yet various board files are initializing those fields. This is both incorrect and confusing, so remove them. This allows to get rid of a global variable in gpmc-nand.c. This also corrects an issue where some boards are trying to pass NAND 16bit flag through .options, but the driver is using .devsize instead and ignoring .options. Finally, .dev_ready is treated as a flag by the driver, so make it bool instead of a function pointer.
