* dma-mapping: merge <linux/dma-noncoherent.h> into <linux/dma-map-ops.h>Christoph Hellwig2020-10-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | Move more nitty gritty DMA implementation details into the common internal header. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de>
* sh: use the generic dma coherent remap allocatorChristoph Hellwig2020-08-141-49/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | This switches to using common code for the DMA allocations, including potential use of the CMA allocator if configured. Switching to the generic code enables DMA allocations from atomic context, which is required by the DMA API documentation, and also adds various other minor features drivers start relying upon. It also makes sure we have on tested code base for all architectures that require uncached pte bits for coherent DMA allocations. * remove ioremap_nocache and devm_ioremap_nocacheChristoph Hellwig2020-01-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | | ioremap has provided non-cached semantics by default since the Linux 2.6 days, so remove the additional ioremap_nocache interface. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Acked-by: Arnd Bergmann <arnd@arndb.de>
* dma-mapping: drop the dev argument to arch_sync_dma_for_*Christoph Hellwig2019-11-201-3/+3
| | | | | | | | These are pure cache maintainance routines, so drop the unused struct device argument. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Suggested-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch>

| | | | | | | | | | | | | Update license to use SPDX-License-Identifier instead of verbose license text. * sh: use generic dma_noncoherent_opsChristoph Hellwig2018-08-021-12/+11
| | | | | | | Switch to the generic noncoherent direct mapping implementation. Signed-off-by: Christoph Hellwig <hch@lst.de> Acked-by: Yoshinori Sato <ysato@users.sourceforge.jp>
* sh: split arch/sh/mm/consistent.cChristoph Hellwig2018-08-021-0/+84
Half of the file just contains platform device memory setup code which is required for all builds, and half contains helpers for dma coherent allocation, which is only needed if CONFIG_DMA_NONCOHERENT is enabled.
