I completely botched understanding the calling conventions of
do_div(). I assumed that do_div() returned the result instead
of realizing that it modifies its argument and returns a
remainder. The side-effect from this would be bogus numbers
for the "msecs" value in the warning messages:
INFO: NMI handler (perf_event_nmi_handler) took too long to run: 0.114 msecs

PM_BRU_MPRED is referred to as PM_BR_MPRED.
It fixed the typo by changing the name of the event in kernel and
documentation accordingly.
This patch changes the ABI, there are some reasons I think it's ok:
- It is relatively new interface, specific to the Power7 platform.
- No tools that we know of actually use this interface at this point
(none are listed near the interface).
- Users of this interface (eg oprofile users migrating to perf)
would be more used to the "PM_BR_MPRED" rather than "PM_BRU_MPRED".
- These are in the ABI/testing at this point rather than ABI/stable,
so hoping we have some wiggle room.

In order to utilise all of the memory located on ux500 based devices
we have to enable HIGHMEM. Without it the kernel truncates memory down
to what's left after the PAGE_OFFSET has been applied, which doesn't
leave an awful lot, especially if we're running large rootfs' such
as full Linux desktop distributions or Android.

Enable MMC_UNSAFE_RESUME to be accomplish a proper suspend/resume cycle
for SD/SDIO/(e)MMC.
ARMMMCI host driver supports clock gating through runtime PM, thus
MMC_CLKGATE is not needed. Moreover ARMMMCI can do scatter-gather which
means we can explicity disable MMC_BLOCK_BOUNCE, since it's default
enabled, to skip unnecessary bounce buffer copying.

Update the defconfig removing/adding selections due to
Kconfig changes, and select some new hardware drivers that
have been matured in the tree. For example:
- CONFIG_NO_HZ and CONFIG_HIGH_RES_TIMERS come from the
make oldconfig changes after the recent changes to
how NOHZ is handled.
- The U5500 config option is now gone as the machine is
deleted. So is the AB5500 driver.
- CPU_IDLE selected explicitly.
- LP5521 Kconfig has been moved around.
- AB8500 core is default-selected, as is the AB8500 USB
transciever.
- The battery and charging management drivers for the
AB8500 are not selected again.
- Select the crypto devices that have been shaped up
to work properly.

Platform code used to depend on bootloadres for correctly setting the mux
pin modes. But bootloaders should only set the minimum required mux pins.
So, DSS mux pins are not set in U-Boot anymore and video display is broken
on IGEPv2 when booting with newer U-Boot versions.
Setup the DSS pin muxes to enable display functionality.

The OMAP runtime PM implementation was removed in v3.0. But one Makefile
line, which was used to tweak CFLAGS, was overlooked. Remove it too.

ARM errata 798181 is applicable for OMAP5 based devices. So enable
the same in the build. Errata extract and workaround information
is as below.
On Cortex-A15 (r0p0..r3p2) the TLBI*IS/DSB operations are not
adequately shooting down all use of the old entries. The
ARM_ERRATA_798181 option enables the Linux kernel workaround
for this erratum which sends an IPI to the CPUs that are running
the same ASID as the one being invalidated.

On platforms such as Cortex-A15 based OMAP5, SCU is not used, however
since much code is shared between Cortex-A9 based OMAP4 (which uses
SCU) and OMAP5, It does help to have inline functions returning error
values when SCU is not present on the platform.
arch/arm/mach-omap2/omap-smp.c which is common between OMAP4 and 5
handles the SCU usage only for OMAP4.
This fixes the following build failure with OMAP5 only build:

CPU sleep and resume functions for Cortex-A9 based OMAP4 and
Cortex-A15 based OMAP5 are different. Hence, even though we reuse
most of the remaining file as part of OMAP4/5 consolidation, build
OMAP4 specific sleep/resume operations only for OMAP4. SCU is not used
OMAP5.

of_property_read_string_index(...,&oh_name) in omap_dm_timer_init_one
does not alter the value of 'oh_name' even if the relevant function
fails and as 'oh_name' in stack may have a non-zero value, it would
be misunderstood by timer code that DT has specified "ti,hwmod"
property for timer. 'oh_name' in this scenario would be a junk value,
this would result in module not being enabled by hwmod API's for
timer, and in turn crash.

With the new linux/reboot.h header file dependency added, we can no
longer build ixp4xx. The easiest way to avoid that is to remove the
inclusion of mach/hardware.h from mach/timex.h, which does not need
that header anyway.

Some OMAP SoCs use this function while others do not, and that
causes a warning when building multi_v7_defconfig. Marking the

Commit 4c94c8b "ARM: tegra: update device trees for USB binding rework"
added regulator definitions for GPIO-controlled USB VBUS. However, none
of these contained the essential DT property enable-active-high. Add

This updates multi_v7_defconfig to boot on at least Tegra2 Seaboard and
Panda ES. I lack working hardware for most of the platforms that were
enabled to compare with, so I could only verify those two for now. Still,
I enabled all of the available ones for build coverage purposes.
Beyond base platforms, things like PRINTK_TIME, filesystems, MMC, USB,
INET and UNIX networking was enabled. I'm sure we'll keep adding more
over time, but this gets us off the ground for semi-regular boot testing.

When the local timer freq changed, the twd_update_frequency function
should be run all the CPUs include itself, otherwise, the twd freq will
not get updated and the local timer will not run correcttly.
smp_call_function will run functions on all other CPUs, but not include
himself, this is not correct,use on_each_cpu instead to fix this issue.

imx_v6_v7_defconfig handles both multi-core and single-core SoCs, and it has CONFIG_SMP=y selected by default.
With such config we cannot select ARM_ERRATA_364296, as it depends on !SMP.
Let ARM_ERRATA_364296 be undependent on CONFIG_SMP, so that we can select this erratum for the ARM1136 SoCs, even if CONFIG_SMP=y is enabled.

Commit 83db0384 (mm/ARM: use common help functions to free reserved
pages) broke booting on the Assabet by trying to convert a PFN to
a virtual address using the __va() macro. This macro takes the
physical address, not a PFN. Fix this.

Failure to add the mapping created in debug_ll_io_init() can lead
to the BUG_ON() triggering in lib/ioremap.c:27 if the static
virtual address decided for the debug_ll mapping overlaps with
another mapping that is created later. This happens because the
generic ioremap code has no idea there is a mapping there and it
tries to place a mapping in the same location and blows up when
it sees that there is a pte already present.

Macro __INIT is used to place various code in head-common.S into the init
section. This should be matched by a closing __FINIT. Also, add an
explicit ".text" to ensure subsequent code is placed into the correct
section; __FINIT is simply a closing marker to match __INIT and doesn't
guarantee to revert to .text.
This historically caused no problem, because macro __CPUINIT was used at
the exact location where __FINIT was missing, which then placed following
code into the cpuinit section. However, with commit 22f0a2736 "init.h:
remove __cpuinit sections from the kernel" applied, __CPUINIT becomes a
no-op, thus leaving all this code in the init section, rather than the
regular text section. This caused issues such as secondary CPU boot
failures or crashes.
