* drm: Resurrect atomic rmfb codeDaniel Vetter2016-07-131-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This was somehow lost between v3 and the merged version in Maarten's patch merged as: commit f2d580b9a8149735cbc4b59c4a8df60173658140 Author: Maarten Lankhorst <maarten.lankhorst@linux.intel.com> Date: Wed May 4 14:38:26 2016 +0200 drm/core: Do not preserve framebuffer on rmfb, v4. Actual code copied from Maarten's patch, but with the slight change to just use dev->mode_config.funcs->atomic_commit to decide whether to use the atomic path or not. * drm: Clean up drm_crtc.hDaniel Vetter2016-06-211-1/+85
| | | | | | | | | | | - Group declarations for separate files (drm_bridge.c, drm_edid.c) - Move declarations only used within drm.ko to drm_crtc_internal.h - drm_property_type_valid to drm_crtc.c, its only callsite Reviewed-by: Chris Wilson <chris@chris-wilson.co.uk> Reviewed-by: Emil Velikov <emil.l.velikov@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@intel.com> Link: http://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/1466499262-18717-2-git-send-email-daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch
* drm: Add callbacks for late registeringBenjamin Gaignard2016-06-211-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Like what has been done for connectors add callbacks on encoder, crtc and plane to let driver do actions after drm device registration. Correspondingly, add callbacks called before unregister drm device. version 2: add drm_modeset_register_all() and drm_modeset_unregister_all() to centralize all calls version 3: in error case unwind registers in drm_modeset_register_all fix uninitialed return value inverse order of unregistration in drm_modeset_unregister_all version 4: move function definitions in drm_crtc_internal.h remove not needed documentation Signed-off-by: Benjamin Gaignard <benjamin.gaignard@linaro.org> Reviewed-by: Chris Wilson <chris@chris-wilson.co.uk> Signed-off-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Link: http://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/1466519829-4000-1-git-send-email-benjamin.gaignard@linaro.org
* drm/mode: rework drm_mode_object_put to drm_mode_object_unregister.Dave Airlie2016-04-221-2/+2
| | | | | | | | This changes the code to handle being called multiple times without side effects. The new names seems more suitable for what it does. Reviewed-by: Daniel Vetter <daniel.vetter@ffwll.ch> Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com>
* drm/atomic: Hide drm.ko internal interfacesDaniel Vetter2015-01-051-0/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This is just a bit fallout from patch polishing and moving the get_prop logic fully into the core: - Drop EXPORT_SYMBOL and make the helpers static. - Drop kerneldoc since not used by drivers. - Move the cross-file function declarations only used by drm.ko internally to an internal header. v2: keep the gist of the comments, requested by Rob. * drm: move drm_mode related functions into drm_modes.cDaniel Vetter2014-03-131-0/+38
Makes more sense and gives better grouping in the DocBook function reference sections. To make this possible we need to expose two functions from drm_crtc.c though. To avoid further namespace pollution in the system wide headers create a new internal header for such drm internal symbols. I expect that longer-term we'll add tons more, but since my goal here is to polish the kerneldoc that's for another day.
