* drm/msm/disp: check the return value of kzalloc()Xiaoke Wang2022-04-061-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | kzalloc() is a memory allocation function which can return NULL when some internal memory errors happen. So it is better to check it to prevent potential wrong memory access. * drm/msm/dp: Support up to 3 DP controllersBjorn Andersson2021-10-181-2/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Based on the removal of the g_dp_display and the movement of the priv->dp lookup into the DP code it's now possible to have multiple DP instances. In line with the other controllers in the MSM driver, introduce a per-compatible list of base addresses which is used to resolve the "instance id" for the given DP controller. This instance id is used as index in the priv->dp[] array. Then extend the initialization code to initialize struct drm_encoder for each of the registered priv->dp[] and update the logic for associating each struct msm_dp with the struct dpu_encoder_virt. A new enum is introduced to document the connection between the instances referenced in the dpu_intf_cfg array and the controllers in the DP driver and sc7180 is updated. Lastly, bump the number of struct msm_dp instances carries by priv->dp to 3, the currently known maximum number of controllers found in a Qualcomm SoC. * drm/msm: make msm_disp_state transient data structDmitry Baryshkov2021-06-231-1/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of allocating snapshotting structure at the driver probe time and later handling concurrent access, actual state, etc, make msm_disp_state transient struct. Allocate one when snapshotting happens and free it after coredump data is read by userspace. * drm/msm: add support to take dpu snapshotAbhinav Kumar2021-06-231-0/+179
Add the msm_disp_snapshot module which adds supports to dump dpu registers and capture the drm atomic state which can be used in case of error conditions. changes in v5: - start storing disp_state in msm_kms instead of dpu_kms - get rid of MSM_DISP_SNAPSHOT_IN_* enum by simplifying the functions - move snprintf inside the snapshot core by using varargs - get rid of some stale code comments - allow snapshot module for non-DPU targets Reported-by: kernel test robot <lkp@intel.com> Signed-off-by: Abhinav Kumar <abhinavk@codeaurora.org> Reviewed-by: Dmitry Baryshkov <dmitry.baryshkov@linaro.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/1618606645-19695-3-git-send-email-abhinavk@codeaurora.org Signed-off-by: Rob Clark <robdclark@chromium.org>
