* drm/msm: devcoredump iommu fault supportRob Clark2021-06-231-0/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Wire up support to stall the SMMU on iova fault, and collect a devcore- dump snapshot for easier debugging of faults. Currently this is a6xx-only, but mostly only because so far it is the only one using adreno-smmu-priv. * Merge tag 'drm-msm-next-2020-09-27' of ↵Dave Airlie2020-09-291-1/+1
|\ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/msm into drm-next * DSI support for sm8150/sm8250 * Support for per-process GPU pagetables (finally!) for a6xx. There are still some iommu/arm-smmu changes required to enable, without which it will fallback to the current single pgtable state. The first part (ie. what doesn't depend on drm side patches) is queued up for v5.10[1]. * DisplayPort support. Userspace DP compliance tool support is already merged in IGT[2] * The usual assortment of smaller fixes/cleanups Signed-off-by: Dave Airlie <airlied@redhat.com> From: Rob Clark <robdclark@gmail.com> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/CAF6AEGvqjuzH=Po_9EzzFsp2Xq3tqJUTKfsA2g09XY7_+6Ypfw@mail.gmail.com
| * drm/msm: Add support to create a local pagetableJordan Crouse2020-09-121-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add support to create a io-pgtable for use by targets that support per-instance pagetables. In order to support per-instance pagetables the GPU SMMU device needs to have the qcom,adreno-smmu compatible string and split pagetables enabled. * | drm: msm: fix common struct sg_table related issuesMarek Szyprowski2020-09-101-8/+7
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The Documentation/DMA-API-HOWTO.txt states that the dma_map_sg() function returns the number of the created entries in the DMA address space. However the subsequent calls to the dma_sync_sg_for_{device,cpu}() and dma_unmap_sg must be called with the original number of the entries passed to the dma_map_sg(). struct sg_table is a common structure used for describing a non-contiguous memory buffer, used commonly in the DRM and graphics subsystems. It consists of a scatterlist with memory pages and DMA addresses (sgl entry), as well as the number of scatterlist entries: CPU pages (orig_nents entry) and DMA mapped pages (nents entry). It turned out that it was a common mistake to misuse nents and orig_nents entries, calling DMA-mapping functions with a wrong number of entries or ignoring the number of mapped entries returned by the dma_map_sg() function. To avoid such issues, lets use a common dma-mapping wrappers operating directly on the struct sg_table objects and use scatterlist page iterators where possible. This, almost always, hides references to the nents and orig_nents entries, making the code robust, easier to follow and copy/paste safe. * drm/msm: Update the MMU helper function APIsJordan Crouse2020-05-231-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | Instead of using a bare unsigned type for the length value for map/unmap functions pass in a size_t to more correctly match up with the underlying APIs. * drm/msm: Attach the IOMMU device during initializationJordan Crouse2020-05-231-6/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | Everywhere an IOMMU object is created by msm_gpu_create_address_space the IOMMU device is attached immediately after. Instead of carrying around the infrastructure to do the attach from the device specific code do it directly in the msm_iommu_init() function. This gets it out of the way for more aggressive cleanups that follow. * drm/msm: drop use of drmP.hSam Ravnborg2019-09-031-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Drop the deprecated drmP.h header file, and trim msm_drv.h to the relevant include files. This resulted in a suprisingly many edits as many files relied on headers included via msm_drv.h. But msm_drv.h is not supposed to carry include files it do not need, so the individual files have to include what extra they needs. v2: - Rebased on top of https://gitlab.freedesktop.org/drm/msm.git msm-next Signed-off-by: Sam Ravnborg <sam@ravnborg.org> Cc: Rob Clark <robdclark@gmail.com> Cc: Sean Paul <sean@poorly.run> Cc: David Airlie <airlied@linux.ie> Cc: Daniel Vetter <daniel@ffwll.ch> Cc: Jordan Crouse <jcrouse@codeaurora.org> Cc: Jeykumar Sankaran <jsanka@codeaurora.org> Cc: Bruce Wang <bzwang@chromium.org> Cc: Shayenne Moura <shayenneluzmoura@gmail.com> Cc: Mamta Shukla <mamtashukla555@gmail.com> Cc: Jonathan Marek <jonathan@marek.ca> Cc: Carsten Behling <carsten.behling@googlemail.com> Cc: Maarten Lankhorst <maarten.lankhorst@linux.intel.com> Cc: Maxime Ripard <maxime.ripard@bootlin.com> Cc: Paul Kocialkowski <paul.kocialkowski@bootlin.com> Cc: Sibi Sankar <sibis@codeaurora.org> Cc: Todor Tomov <todor.tomov@linaro.org> Cc: linux-arm-msm@vger.kernel.org Cc: freedreno@lists.freedesktop.org Signed-off-by: Sean Paul <seanpaul@chromium.org> Link: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/msgid/20190804065551.GA5211@ravnborg.org
