* i2c: Convert to platform remove callback returning voidUwe Kleine-König2023-06-051-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The .remove() callback for a platform driver returns an int which makes many driver authors wrongly assume it's possible to do error handling by returning an error code. However the value returned is (mostly) ignored and this typically results in resource leaks. To improve here there is a quest to make the remove callback return void. In the first step of this quest all drivers are converted to .remove_new() which already returns void. | | | | | | | | | | Follow the advice of the below link and prefer 'strscpy'. Conversion is easy because no driver used the return value and has been done with a simple sed invocation. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Use a mutex to protect access to idev->msg_len, idev->buf, etc. which are modified by both altr_i2c_xfer_msg() and altr_i2c_isr(). This is the minimal fix for easy backporting. A cleanup to remove the spinlock will be added later.
