* i2c: sprd: Delete i2c adapter in .remove's error pathUwe Kleine-König2023-06-141-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | [ Upstream commit ca0aa17f2db3468fd017038d23a78e17388e2f67 ] If pm runtime resume fails the .remove callback used to exit early. This resulted in an error message by the driver core but the device gets removed anyhow. This lets the registered i2c adapter stay around with an unbound parent device. So only skip clk disabling if resume failed, but do delete the adapter. * i2c: sprd: use a specific timeout to avoid system hang up issueChunyan Zhang2021-01-171-1/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit 0b884fe71f9ee6a5df35e677154256ea2099ebb8 upstream. If the i2c device SCL bus being pulled up due to some exception before message transfer done, the system cannot receive the completing interrupt signal any more, it would not exit waiting loop until MAX_SCHEDULE_TIMEOUT jiffies eclipse, that would make the system seemed hang up. To avoid that happen, this patch adds a specific timeout for message transfer. * i2c: remove i2c_lock_adapter and use i2c_lock_bus directlyPeter Rosin2018-07-131-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The i2c_lock_adapter name is ambiguous since it is unclear if it refers to the root adapter or the adapter you name in the argument. The natural interpretation is the adapter you name in the argument, but there are historical reasons for that not being the case; it in fact locks the root adapter. Just remove the function and force users to spell out the I2C_LOCK_ROOT_ADAPTER name to indicate what is really going on. Also remove i2c_unlock_adapter, of course. This patch was generated with git grep -l 'i2c_\(un\)\?lock_adapter' \ | xargs sed -i 's/i2c_\(un\)\?lock_adapter(\([^)]*\))/'\ 'i2c_\1lock_bus(\2, I2C_LOCK_ROOT_ADAPTER)/g' followed by white-space touch-up. * i2c: sprd: Fix the i2c count issueBaolin Wang2018-04-271-4/+2
| | | | | | | | | We found the I2C controller count register is unreliable sometimes, that will cause I2C to lose data. Thus we can read the data count from 'i2c_dev->count' instead of the I2C controller count register. Signed-off-by: Baolin Wang <baolin.wang@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Wolfram Sang <wsa@the-dreams.de>
