* Input: Switch i2c drivers back to use .probe()Uwe Kleine-König2023-05-171-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | After commit b8a1a4cd5a98 ("i2c: Provide a temporary .probe_new() call-back type"), all drivers being converted to .probe_new() and then 03c835f498b5 ("i2c: Switch .probe() to not take an id parameter") convert back to (the new) .probe() to be able to eventually drop .probe_new() from struct i2c_driver. * Input: kxtj9 - switch to DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() and pm_sleep_ptr()Jonathan Cameron2023-01-091-4/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() is deprecated as it requires explicit protection against unused function warnings. The new combination of pm_sleep_ptr() and DEFINE_SIMPLE_DEV_PM_OPS() allows the compiler to see the functions, thus suppressing the warning, but still allowing the unused code to be removed. Thus also drop the __maybe_unused markings. * Input: kxtj9 - Convert to i2c's .probe_new()Uwe Kleine-König2022-12-021-3/+2
| | | | | | | | | The probe function doesn't make use of the i2c_device_id * parameter so it can be trivially converted. * Input: kxtj9 - switch to using polled mode of input devicesDmitry Torokhov2019-10-291-115/+37
| | | | | | | | | | | | We have added polled mode to the normal input devices with the intent of retiring input_polled_dev. This converts kxtj9 driver to use the polling mode of standard input devices and removes dependency on INPUT_POLLDEV. note that with regular input devices handling polling, there is no longer a benefit in having separate INPUT_KXTJ9_POLLED_MODE config option. * Input: kxtj9 - remove unneeded retval variableJavier Martinez Canillas2015-10-021-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | The retval variable isn't needed since isn't used in the function. Remove the variable and just return 0 instead. This also fixes the following make coccicheck warning: drivers/input/misc/kxtj9.c:638:5-11: Unneeded variable: "retval". * Input: kxtj9 - who_am_i check value and initial data rate fixesChristopher Hudson2012-03-161-5/+17
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Several fixes based on customer feedback: * WHO_AM_I value has changed since preliminary parts used for initial testing; * Output of le16_to_cpu must be saved to memory before shifting to preserve sign; * Initial data rate was not extracted from data control register init. This was causing the initial data rate to be set to maximum until it was changed. To fix this problem, it made more sense to specify initial data rate and extract the register mask from that.
