* saa7134: fix warm Medion 7134 EEPROM readMaciej S. Szmigiero2017-07-151-0/+31
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | commit 5a91206ff0d0548939f3e85a65fb76b400fb0e89 upstream. When saa7134 module driving a Medion 7134 card is reloaded reads of this card EEPROM (required for automatic detection of tuner model) will be corrupted due to I2C gate in DVB-T demod being left closed. This sometimes also happens on first saa7134 module load after a warm reboot. Fix this by opening this I2C gate before doing EEPROM read during i2c initialization. Signed-off-by: Maciej S. * [media] constify i2c_algorithm structuresJulia Lawall2016-09-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | These i2c_algorithm structures are only stored in the alg field of an i2c_adapter structure, which is declared as const. This declare the structures as const as well. The semantic patch that makes this change is as follows: (http://coccinelle.lip6.fr/) // <smpl> @r disable optional_qualifier@ identifier i; position p; @@ static struct i2c_algorithm i@p = { ... }; @ok@ identifier r.i; struct i2c_adapter e; position p; @@ e.alg = &i@p; @bad@ position p != {r.p,ok.p}; identifier r.i; @@ i@p @depends on !bad disable optional_qualifier@ identifier r.i; @@ static +const struct i2c_algorithm i = { ... }; // </smpl> Signed-off-by: Julia Lawall <Julia.Lawall@lip6.fr> Signed-off-by: Hans Verkuil <hans.verkuil@cisco.com> Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@s-opensource.com>
* [media] saa7134: fix CodingStyle issues on the lines touched by pr_foo refactorMauro Carvalho Chehab2015-05-131-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Several lines touched by the pr_foo refactoring patches are not following the Linux Coding style. While we won't be fixing the style globally at the driver, we should, at least, fix on the lines we touched. Basically, this patch add (or remove) whitespaces and blank lines where needed. No functional changes. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
* [media] saa7134: avoid complex macro warningsMauro Carvalho Chehab2015-05-131-5/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | The debug macros are not properly defined, as they generate warnings like: ERROR: Macros with complex values should be enclosed in parentheses +#define core_dbg(fmt, arg...) if (core_debug) \ + printk(KERN_DEBUG pr_fmt("core: " fmt), ## arg) Use do { } while (0) for those macros. * [media] saa7134: replace remaining occurences or printk()Mauro Carvalho Chehab2015-05-131-4/+4
| | | | | | Instead of using printk(), use pr_foo() macros. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
* [media] saa7134-i2c: simplify debug dump and use pr_info()Mauro Carvalho Chehab2015-05-131-6/+5
| | | | | | | Instead of implement its own hexdump logic, use the printk format, and convert to use pr_info(). Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
* [media] saa7134-i2c: make debug macros to use pr_fmt()Mauro Carvalho Chehab2015-05-131-27/+27
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Converting debug prints to use pr_foo() is not trivial, as the result will be a way worse than what's provided here, due to the pieces of the code that prints the I2C transfers. Those use a lot pr_cont(), and, depending on using either level 1 or 2, a different set of macros are selected. So, let's replace d1printk() and d2printk() macros by i2c_dbg() and i2c_count() adding a debug level there. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
* [media] saa7134: instead of using printk KERN_foo, use pr_fooMauro Carvalho Chehab2015-05-131-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | Replaces all occurrences of printk with KERN_INFO, KERN_WARNING and KERN_ERR to pr_info/pr_warning, pr_err, using this small shell script: for i in drivers/media/pci/saa7134/*.[ch]; do sed s,'printk(KERN_INFO ','pr_info(',g <$i >a && mv a $i; done for i in drivers/media/pci/saa7134/*.[ch]; do sed s,'printk(KERN_ERR ','pr_err(',g <$i >a && mv a $i; done for i in drivers/media/pci/saa7134/*.[ch]; do sed s,'printk(KERN_WARNING ','pr_warn(',g <$i >a && mv a $i; done Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab@osg.samsung.com>
