* reset: lantiq: remove unneeded call to platform_set_drvdata()Andrei Coardos2023-08-081-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | This function call was found to be unnecessary as there is no equivalent platform_get_drvdata() call to access the private data of the driver. Also, the private data is defined in this driver, so there is no risk of it being accessed outside of this driver file. * reset: lantiq: remove MODULE_LICENSE in non-modulesNick Alcock2023-04-131-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit 8b41fc4454e ("kbuild: create modules.builtin without Makefile.modbuiltin or tristate.conf"), MODULE_LICENSE declarations are used to identify modules. As a consequence, uses of the macro in non-modules will cause modprobe to misidentify their containing object file as a module when it is not (false positives), and modprobe might succeed rather than failing with a suitable error message. So remove it in the files in this commit, none of which can be built as modules. * reset: Add a reset controller driver for the Lantiq XWAY based SoCsMartin Blumenstingl2017-09-041-0/+212
The reset controllers (on xRX200 and newer SoCs have two of them) are provided by the RCU module. This was initially implemented as a simple reset controller. However, the RCU module provides more functionality (ethernet GPHYs, USB PHY, etc.), which makes it a MFD device. The old reset controller driver implementation from arch/mips/lantiq/xway/reset.c did not honor this fact. For some devices the request and the status bits are different.
