Currently, we fail to retrieve the PF number in some cases (e.g
single ported cards, lag capability), this further results in a
call trace issued by the rtnetlink code, since the error value
is not -EOPNOTSUPP. Change the implementation to be independent
from the lag code and function properly on both two ports and
single ported cards.

With commit a18e879d4e45 ("net/mlx5e: Annul encap action ordering
requirement") and a use-case of e-switch remote mirroring, the
incremental/stepped FTE removal process done by the fs core got us to
illegal transient states and FW errors:
SET_FLOW_TABLE_ENTRY(0x936) op_mod(0x0) failed, status bad
parameter(0x3), syndrome (0x9c2e40)
To avoid that and improve FTE removal performance, aggregate the FTE's
updates that should be applied. Remove the FTE if it is empty, or apply
one FW update command with the aggregated updates.

Same reasons than the ones explained in commit 4179cb5a4c92
("vxlan: test dev->flags & IFF_UP before calling netif_rx()")
netif_rx() or gro_cells_receive() must be called under a strict contract.
At device dismantle phase, core networking clears IFF_UP
and flush_all_backlogs() is called after rcu grace period
to make sure no incoming packet might be in a cpu backlog
and still referencing the device.
A similar protocol is used for gro_cells infrastructure, as
gro_cells_destroy() will be called only after a full rcu
grace period is observed after IFF_UP has been cleared.
Most drivers call netif_rx() from their interrupt handler,
and since the interrupts are disabled at device dismantle,
netif_rx() does not have to check dev->flags & IFF_UP
Virtual drivers do not have this guarantee, and must
therefore make the check themselves.
Otherwise we risk use-after-free and/or crashes.

The commit bfcb79fca19d
("PCI/ERR: Run error recovery callbacks for all affected devices")
affected the non-fatal error recovery logic for the HNS and RDMA devices.
This is because each HNS PF under PCIe bus receive callbacks
from the AER driver when an error is reported for one of the PF.
This causes unwanted PF resets because
the HNS decides which PF to reset based on the reset type set.
The HNS error handling code sets the reset type based on the hw error
type detected.
This patch provides fix for the above issue for the recovery of
the hw errors in the HNS and RDMA devices.
This patch needs backporting to the kernel v5.0+

When building with -Wsometimes-uninitialized, Clang warns:

drivers/net/ethernet/stmicro/stmmac/stmmac_ptp.c:111:2: error: variable
'ns' is used uninitialized whenever '&&' condition is false
[-Werror,-Wsometimes-uninitialized]
Clang is concerned with the use of stmmac_do_void_callback (which
stmmac_get_systime wraps), as it may fail to initialize these values if
the if condition was ever false (meaning the callback doesn't exist).
It's not wrong because the callback is what initializes ns. While it's
unlikely that the callback is going to disappear at some point and make
that condition false, we can easily avoid this warning by zero
initializing the variable.

By default, the switch driver is expected to configure CPU and DSA
ports to their maximum speed. For the 6341 and 6390 families, the

When building with -Wsometimes-uninitialized, Clang warns:
drivers/net/ethernet/sun/niu.c:7466:5: warning: variable 'class' is used
uninitialized whenever switch default is taken
[-Wsometimes-uninitialized]
The default case can never happen because i can only be 0 to 3
(NIU_L3_PROG_CLS is defined as 4). To make this clear to Clang,
just zero initialize class in the default case (use the macro
CLASS_CODE_UNRECOG to make it clear this shouldn't happen).

On some architectures, the MMU can be disabled, leading to access_ok()

which in turn produces an unused-variable warning:

If we receive a packet while deleting a VXLAN device, there's a chance
vxlan_rcv() is called at the same time as vxlan_dellink(). This is fine,
except that vxlan_dellink() should never ever touch stuff that's still in
use, such as the GRO cells list.
Otherwise, vxlan_rcv() crashes while queueing packets via
gro_cells_receive().
Move the gro_cells_destroy() to vxlan_uninit(), which runs after the RCU
grace period is elapsed and nothing needs the gro_cells anymore.
This is now done in the same way as commit 8e816df87997 ("geneve: Use GRO
cells infrastructure.") originally implemented for GENEVE.

Using a decimal also makes it clear this is a length value and not
another field within the simple mailbox defines.

When building with -Wsometimes-uninitialized, Clang warns:

drivers/net/ethernet/stmicro/stmmac/stmmac_main.c:741:3: warning: variable 'sec_inc' is used uninitialized whenever '&&' condition is false [-Wsometimes-uninitialized]
Clang is concerned with the use of stmmac_do_void_callback (which
stmmac_get_timestamp and stmmac_config_sub_second_increment wrap),
as it may fail to initialize these values if the if condition was ever
false (meaning the callbacks don't exist). It's not wrong because the
callbacks (get_timestamp and config_sub_second_increment respectively)
are the ones that initialize the variables. While it's unlikely that the
callbacks are ever going to disappear and make that condition false, we
can easily avoid this warning by zero initialize the variables.

The enic driver relies on the CONFIG_CPUMASK_OFFSTACK feature to
dynamically allocate a struct member, but this is normally intended for
local variables.
Building with clang, I get a warning for a few locations that check the
address of the cpumask_var_t:
drivers/net/ethernet/cisco/enic/enic_main.c:122:22: error: address of array 'enic->msix[i].affinity_mask' will always evaluate to 'true' [-Werror,-Wpointer-bool-conversion]
As far as I can tell, the code is still correct, as the truth value of
the pointer is what we need in this configuration. To get rid of
the warning, use cpumask_available() instead of checking the
pointer directly.

Hardware has the CBS (Credit Based Shaper) which affects only Q3
and Q2. When updating the CBS settings, even if the driver does so
after waiting for Tx DMA finished, there is a possibility that frame
data still remains in TxFIFO.
To avoid this, decrease TxFIFO depth of Q3 and Q2 to one.
This patch has been exercised this using netperf TCP_MAERTS, TCP_STREAM
and UDP_STREAM tests run on an Ebisu board. No performance change was
detected, outside of noise in the tests, both in terms of throughput and

clang warns about what seems to be an unintended use of an obscure C
language feature where a forward declaration of an array remains usable
when the final definition is never seen:
drivers/net/ethernet/ti/davinci_emac.c:1694:34: error: tentative array definition assumed to have one element [-Werror]

avoiding the warning.

Pull MIPS updates from Paul Burton:
- Support for the MIPSr6 MemoryMapID register & Global INValidate TLB
(GINVT) instructions, allowing for more efficient TLB maintenance
when running on a CPU such as the I6500 that supports these.
- Enable huge page support for MIPS64r6.
- Optimize post-DMA cache sync by removing that code entirely for
kernel configurations in which we know it won't be needed.
- The number of pages allocated for interrupt stacks is now calculated
correctly, where before we would wastefully allocate too much memory
in some configurations.
- The ath79 platform migrates to devicetree.
- The bcm47xx platform sees fixes for the Buffalo WHR-G54S board.
- The ingenic/jz4740 platform gains support for appended devicetrees.
- The cavium_octeon, lantiq, loongson32 & sgi-ip27 platforms all see
cleanups as do various pieces of core architecture code.

The separate GPHY Firmware loader driver is not used any more, the GPHY
firmware is now loaded by the GSWIP switch driver which also makes use
of the GPHY.
Remove the old unused GPHY firmware loader driver.
The GPHY firmware is useless without an Ethernet and switch driver, it
should not harm if loading this does not work for system using an old
device tree.
I am not aware of any vendor separating the device tree from the kernel
binary, it should be ok to remove this.
The code and the functionality form this separate GPHY firmware loader
was added to the gswip driver in commit 14fceff4771e ("net: dsa: Add

with a temporary buffer on the stack. With CONFIG_VMAP_STACK=y this is
a vmalloc address but dasd_generic_restore_device() uses the address of
the buffer as I/O address. Circumvent this by using the already allocated
cqr->data buffer for the RDC data.

Since we have a little function to see whether a channel
program address falls within a range of CCWs, let's use
it in the other places of code that make these checks.
(Why isn't ccw_head fully removed? Well, because this
way some longs lines don't have to be reflowed.)

The routine ccwchain_calc_length() is tasked with looking at a
channel program, seeing how many CCWs are chained together by
the presence of the Chain-Command flag, and returning a count
to the caller.
Previously, it also considered a Transfer-in-Channel CCW as being
an appropriate mechanism for chaining. The problem at the time
was that the TIC CCW will almost certainly not go to the next CCW
in memory (because the CC flag would be sufficient), and so
advancing to the next 8 bytes will cause us to read potentially
invalid memory. So that comparison was removed, and the target
of the TIC is processed as a new chain.
This is fine when a TIC goes to a new chain (consider a NOP+TIC to
a channel program that is being redriven), but there is another
scenario where this falls apart. A TIC can be used to "rewind"
a channel program, for example to find a particular record on a
disk with various orientation CCWs. In this case, we DO want to
consider the memory after the TIC since the TIC will be skipped
once the requested criteria is met. This is due to the Status
Modifier presented by the device, though software doesn't need to
operate on it beyond understanding the behavior change of how the
channel program is executed.
So to handle this, we will re-introduce the check for a TIC CCW
but limit it by examining the target of the TIC. If the TIC
doesn't go back into the current chain, then current behavior
applies; we should stop counting CCWs and let the target of the
TIC be handled as a new chain. But, if the TIC DOES go back into
the current chain, then we need to keep looking at the memory after
the TIC for when the channel breaks out of the TIC loop. We can't
use tic_target_chain_exists() because the chain in question hasn't
been built yet, so we will redefine that comparison with some small
functions to make it more readable and to permit refactoring later.

Libudev relies on having a subsystem link for non-root devices. To
avoid libudev (and potentially other userspace tools) choking on the
matrix device let us introduce a matrix bus and with it the matrix
bus subsytem. Also make the matrix device reside within the matrix
bus.
Doing this we remove the forced link from the matrix device to the
vfio_ap driver and the device_type we do not need anymore.
Since the associated matrix driver is not the vfio_ap driver any more,
we have to change the search for the devices on the vfio_ap driver in
the function vfio_ap_verify_queue_reserved.

When the CCA master key is set twice with the same master key,
then the old and the current master key are the same and thus the
verification patterns are the same, too. The check to report if a

reports old mkvp in this case.

Prior to dma unmap/free operations the ism driver tries to ensure
that the memory is no longer accessed by the HW. When errors
during deregistration of memory regions from the HW occur the ism
driver will not unmap/free this memory.
When we receive notification from the hypervisor that a PCI function
has been detached we can no longer access the device and would never
unmap/free these memory regions which led to complaints by the DMA
debug API.
Treat this kind of errors during the deregistration of memory regions
from the HW as success since it is already ensured that the memory
is no longer accessed by HW.

When an alternate driver (vfio-ap) has bound an ap queue and this
binding is revised the ap queue device is in an intermittent
state not bound to any driver. The internal state variable
covered this with the state AP_STATE_BORKED which is also used to
reflect broken devices. When now an ap bus scan runs such a
device is destroyed and on the next scan reconstructed.
So a stress test with high frequency switching the queue driver
between the default and the vfio-ap driver hit this gap and the
queue was removed until the next ap bus scan. This fix now
introduces another state for the in-between condition for a queue
momentary not bound to a driver and so the ap bus scan function
skips this device instead of removing it.
Also some very slight but maybe helpful debug feature messages
come with this patch - in particular a message showing that a
broken card/queue device will get removed.
