The key issue is that we must register all serial console capable devices with register_console(), otherwise the command line specified device won't be found. The sun serial drivers would only register themselves as console devices if the OpenFirmware specified console device node matched. To fix this part we now unconditionally get the serial console register by setting serial_drv->cons always. Secondarily we must not add_preferred_console() using the firmware provided console setting if the user gaven an override on the kernel command line using "console=" The "primary framebuffer" matching logic was always triggering o n openfirmware device node match, make it not when a command line override was given. The lowest rate bounding on the other hand was broken in that it never actually got assigned a rate and the best fit rate was instead just getting lucky based on the ordering of the rate table, fix this up so the code actually does what it was intended to do originally. Fix this issue by making acpi_install_gpe_handler() disable GPEs that were previously associated with AML methods and cannot wake up the system from sleep states. Analogously, make acpi_remove_gpe_handler() enable the GPEs that are associated with AML methods after their handlers have been removed and cannot wake up the system from sleep states. In addition to that, fix a code ordering issue in acpi_remove_gpe_handler() that renders the locking ineffective (ACPI_MTX_EVENTS is released temporarily in the middle of the routine to wait for the completion of events already in progress). For this purpose introduce acpi_raw_disable_gpe() and acpi_raw_enable_gpe() to be called with acpi_gbl_gpe_lock held and rework acpi_disable_gpe() and acpi_enable_gpe(), respectively, to use them. Also rework acpi_gpe_can_wake() to use acpi_raw_disable_gpe() instead of calling acpi_disable_gpe() after releasing the lock to avoid the possible theoretical race with acpi_install_gpe_handler(). These functions all check retlen inconsistently and it generates a warning in Smatch (http://smatch.sf.net). If retlen were ever NULL it would cause an oops and the code has been this way since 2006 so someone would have complained. Also I looked at other places that implemented the mtd read and write functions and they dereference retlen without checking. I removed the checks. Here comes a bug for this kind of using, sometimes controller will not write data to NAND and just return a good interrupt to tell driver writing work is done. The data in this page is all 0xff and this page can not be written again. The reason is unknow. So read Denali controller register WRITE_PROTECT to get NAND status instead.
