* smbfs: read buffer overflowRoel Kluin2009-09-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | This function uses signed integers for the unix_date and local variables - if a negative number is supplied and the leap-year condition is not met, month will be 0, leading to a read of day_n[-1] Signed-off-by: Roel Kluin <roel.kluin@gmail.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* CRED: Wrap task credential accesses in the SMBFS filesystemDavid Howells2008-11-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Wrap access to task credentials so that they can be separated more easily from the task_struct during the introduction of COW creds. Change most current->(|e|s|fs)[ug]id to current_(|e|s|fs)[ug]id(). Change some task->e?[ug]id to task_e?[ug]id(). In some places it makes more sense to use RCU directly rather than a convenient wrapper; these will be addressed by later patches. * smbfs: fix debug buildsJeff Layton2007-11-141-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | Fix some warnings with SMBFS_DEBUG_* builds. This patch makes it so that builds with -Werror don't fail. Signed-off-by: Jeff Layton <jlayton@redhat.com> Signed-off-by: Andrew Morton <akpm@linux-foundation.org> Signed-off-by: Linus Torvalds <torvalds@linux-foundation.org>
* [PATCH] smbfs: Make conn_pid a struct pidEric W. Biederman2006-12-131-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | smbfs keeps track of the user space server process in conn_pid. This converts that track to use a struct pid instead of pid_t. This keeps us safe from pid wrap around issues and prepares the way for the pid namespace. Signed-off-by: Eric W. * [PATCH] inode-diet: Eliminate i_blksize from the inode structureTheodore Ts'o2006-09-271-1/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This eliminates the i_blksize field from struct inode. Filesystems that want to provide a per-inode st_blksize can do so by providing their own getattr routine instead of using the generic_fillattr() function. Note that some filesystems were providing pretty much random (and incorrect) values for i_blksize. * [PATCH] VFS: Permit filesystem to perform statfs with a known root dentryDavid Howells2006-06-231-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Give the statfs superblock operation a dentry pointer rather than a superblock pointer. This complements the get_sb() patch. That reduced the significance of sb->s_root, allowing NFS to place a fake root there. However, NFS does require a dentry to use as a target for the statfs operation. This permits the root in the vfsmount to be used instead. linux/mount.h has been added where necessary to make allyesconfig build successfully. Interest has also been expressed for use with the FUSE and XFS filesystems. | | | | | | | | | | | Use schedule_timeout_{,un}interruptible() instead of set_current_state()/schedule_timeout() to reduce kernel size. Initial git repository build. I'm not bothering with the full history, even though we have it. We can create a separate "historical" git archive of that later if we want to, and in the meantime it's about 3.2GB when imported into git - space that would just make the early git days unnecessarily complicated, when we don't have a lot of good infrastructure for it. Let it rip!
