The "struct device_node *" argument of of_parse_phandle_with_args() can
be const. Making this change makes it explicit that the function will

If CONFIG_OF_I2C and CONFIG_OF_I2C_MODULE are undefined no declaration of
of_find_i2c_device_by_node and of_find_i2c_adapter_by_node will be
available. Add dummy inline functions to avoid compilation breakage.

The pool_size is always PAGE_SIZE, and since it is a software
configuration paramter (and not a hardware description parameter), we
cannot make it part of the Device Tree binding, so we'd better remove
it from the platform_data as well.

There is no need for the platform_data to give this ID, it is simply
the channel number, so we can compute it inside the driver when

'struct mv_xor_shared_platform_data' used to be the platform_data
structure for the 'mv_xor_shared', but this driver is going to be
renamed simply 'mv_xor', so also rename its platform_data structure

mv_xor_platform_data used to be the platform_data structure associated
to the 'mv_xor' driver. This driver no longer exists, and this data
structure really contains the properties of each XOR channel part of a
given XOR engine. Therefore 'struct mv_xor_channel_data' is a more
appropriate name.

Extend the XOR engine driver (currently called "mv_xor_shared") so
that XOR channels can be passed in the platform_data structure, and be
registered from there.
This will allow the users of the driver to be converted to the single
platform_driver variant of the mv_xor driver.

This driver allows to provide DT clocks for core clocks found on
Marvell Kirkwood, Dove & 370/XP SoCs. The core clock frequencies and
ratios are determined by decoding the Sample-At-Reset registers.
Although technically correct, using a divider of 0 will lead to
div_by_zero panic. Let's use a ratio of 0/1 instead to fail later
with a zero clock.

over extif. We need locking around these GPIO accesses, all GPIOs are
accessed through the same registers and parallel writes will cause
problems.

We don't want someone who can write EFI variables to be able to
allocate arbitrarily large amounts of memory, so cap it to something
sensible like the amount of free space for EFI variables.

Other than ix86, x86-64 on EFI so far didn't set the
{g,s}et_wallclock accessors to the EFI routines, thus
incorrectly using raw RTC accesses instead.
Simply removing the #ifdef around the respective code isn't
enough, however: While so far early get-time calls were done in
physical mode, this doesn't work properly for x86-64, as virtual
addresses would still need to be set up for all runtime regions
(which wasn't the case on the system I have access to), so
instead the patch moves the call to efi_enter_virtual_mode()
ahead (which in turn allows to drop all code related to calling
efi-get-time in physical mode).
Additionally the earlier calling of efi_set_executable()
requires the CPA code to cope, i.e. during early boot it must be
avoided to call cpa_flush_array(), as the first thing this
function does is a BUG_ON(irqs_disabled()).
Also make the two EFI functions in question here static -
they're not being referenced elsewhere.
History:
This commit was originally merged as bacef661acdb ("x86-64/efi:
Use EFI to deal with platform wall clock") but it resulted in some
ASUS machines no longer booting due to a firmware bug, and so was
reverted in f026cfa82f62. A pre-emptive fix for the buggy ASUS
firmware was merged in 03a1c254975e ("x86, efi: 1:1 pagetable
mapping for virtual EFI calls") so now this patch can be
reapplied.

The existing EFI variables code only supports variables of up to 1024
bytes. This limitation existed in version 0.99 of the EFI specification,
but was removed before any full releases. Since variables can now be
larger than a single page, sysfs isn't the best interface for this. So,
instead, let's add a filesystem. Variables can be read, written and
created, with the first 4 bytes of each variable representing its UEFI
attributes. The create() method doesn't actually commit to flash since
zero-length variables can't exist per-spec.

"This is a patchset which didn't make the last merge window. It adds a
debugging capability to feed ACPI tables via the initramfs.
On a grander scope, it formalizes using the initramfs protocol for
feeding arbitrary blobs which need to be accessed early to the kernel:
they are fed first in the initramfs blob (lots of bootloaders can
concatenate this at boot time, others can use a single file) in an
uncompressed cpio archive using filenames starting with "kernel/".
The ACPI maintainers requested that this patchset be fed via the x86
tree rather than the ACPI tree as the footprint in the general x86
code is much bigger than in the ACPI code proper."

This is needed for ACPI table overriding via initrd. Beside reserving
memblocks, X86 also requires to flag the memory area to E820_RESERVED or
E820_ACPI in the e820 mappings to be able to io(re)map it later.

Add a simple cpio decoder without library dependencies for the purpose
of extracting components from the initramfs blob for early kernel
uses. Intended consumers so far are microcode and ACPI override.

The bq2415x charger driver is needed for example on Nokia N900 for
charging battery. Driver is part of open source project to replace
proprietary battery management.

The name of ADC channel is configurable in the platform side. This name is
referenced in the IIO consumer driver. To get the IIO channel, specific
name in the platform data is used as an parameter of the
iio_channel_get(). Thus, lp8788_adc_id platform data are replaced with
specific names.

This patch registers the power supply as a cooling device if the power
supply has support for charge throttling.
Now with this change low level drivers need not register with thermal
framework as it is automatically done by power supply framework.

Add support for power supply attributes CHARGE_CONTROL_LIMIT
and CHARGE_CONTROL_LIMIT_MAX.
These new attributes will enable the user space to implement
