NFT_SET_EVAL is signalling the kernel that this sets can be updated from
the evaluation path, even if there are no expressions attached to the
element. Otherwise, set updates with no expressions fail. Update
description to describe the right semantics.

Debugging further, it turns out that calling into ctx->sk_poll() is
invalid since sk_poll itself is NULL which was saved from the original
TCP socket in order for tls_sw_poll() to invoke it.
Looks like the recent conversion from poll to poll_mask callback started
in 152524231023 ("net: add support for ->poll_mask in proto_ops") missed
to eventually convert kTLS, too: TCP's ->poll was converted over to the
->poll_mask in commit 2c7d3dacebd4 ("net/tcp: convert to ->poll_mask")
and therefore kTLS wrongly saved the ->poll old one which is now NULL.
Convert kTLS over to use ->poll_mask instead. Also instead of POLLIN |
POLLRDNORM use the proper EPOLLIN | EPOLLRDNORM bits as the case in
tcp_poll_mask() as well that is mangled here.

The __IPS_MAX_BIT is used in __ctnetlink_change_status as the max bit
value. When add new bit IPS_OFFLOAD_BIT whose value is 14, we should
increase the __IPS_MAX_BIT too, from 14 to 15.
There is no any bug in current codes, although it lost one loop in
__ctnetlink_change_status. Because the new bit IPS_OFFLOAD_BIT belongs
the IPS_UNCHANGEABLE_MASK.

Due to the negative value condition in msecs_to_jiffies(), the real
max possible timeout value must be set to (UINT_MAX >> 1)/MSEC_PER_SEC.
Neutron Soutmun proposed the proper fix, but an insufficient one was
applied, see https://patchwork.ozlabs.org/patch/400405/.

When listing sets with timeout support, there's a probability that
just timing out entries with "0" timeout value is listed/saved.
However when restoring the saved list, the zero timeout value means
permanent elelements.
The new behaviour is that timing out entries are listed with "timeout 1"
instead of zero.

ip_vs_ftp requires conntrack modules for mangling
of FTP command responses in passive mode.
Make sure the conntrack hooks are registered when
real servers use NAT method in FTP virtual service.
The hooks will be registered while the service is
present.

After commit 6b229cf77d68 ("udp: add batching to udp_rmem_release()")
the sk_rmem_alloc field does not measure exactly anymore the
receive queue length, because we batch the rmem release. The issue
is really apparent only after commit 0d4a6608f68c ("udp: do rmem bulk
free even if the rx sk queue is empty"): the user space can easily
check for an empty socket with not-0 queue length reported by the 'ss'
tool or the procfs interface.
We need to use a custom UDP helper to report the correct queue length,
taking into account the forward allocation deficit.

Tun, tap, virtio, packet and uml vector all use struct virtio_net_hdr
to communicate packet metadata to userspace.
For skbuffs with vlan, the first two return the packet as it may have
existed on the wire, inserting the VLAN tag in the user buffer. Then
virtio_net_hdr.csum_start needs to be adjusted by VLAN_HLEN bytes.
Commit f09e2249c4f5 ("macvtap: restore vlan header on user read")
added this feature to macvtap. Commit 3ce9b20f1971 ("macvtap: Fix
csum_start when VLAN tags are present") then fixed up csum_start.
Virtio, packet and uml do not insert the vlan header in the user
buffer.
When introducing virtio_net_hdr_from_skb to deduplicate filling in
the virtio_net_hdr, the variant from macvtap which adds VLAN_HLEN was
applied uniformly, breaking csum offset for packets with vlan on
virtio and packet.
Make insertion of VLAN_HLEN optional. Convert the callers to pass it
when needed.

This is internal, not exposed through uapi, and although it maps with
userspace LOG_*, with the introduction of LOGLEVEL_AUDIT we are
incurring in namespace pollution.
This patch adds the NFT_LOGLEVEL_ enumeration and use it from nft_log.

When a tape drive is exported via LIO using the pscsi module, a read
that requests more bytes per block than the tape can supply returns an
empty buffer. This is because the pscsi pass-through target module sees
the "ILI" illegal length bit set and thinks there is no reason to return
the data.
This is a long-standing transport issue, since it assumes that no data
need be returned under a check condition, which isn't always the case
for tape.
Add in a check for tape reads with the ILI, EOM, or FM bits set, with a
sense code of NO_SENSE, treating such cases as if the read
succeeded. The layered tape driver then "does the right thing" when it
gets such a response.

On Fujitsu ETERNUS systems, sense code ABORTED COMMAND with ASC/Q C1/01
is used to indicate temporary condition where the storage-internal path
to a target is switched from one controller to another. SCSI commands
that return with this error code must be retried unconditionally
(i.e. without the "maybe_retry" logic in scsi_decide_disposition);
otherwise dm-multipath might initiate a failover from a healthy path
e.g. for REQ_FAILFAST_DEV commands.
Introduce a new blist flag for this case.

EMC Symmetrix returns 'internal target error' for a variety of
conditions, most of which will be transient. So we should always retry
it, even with failfast set. Otherwise we'd get spurious path flaps with
multipath.

Sparse emits errors about ilog2() in array indices because of the use of
__ilog2_32() and __ilog2_64(), rightly so
(https://www.spinics.net/lists/linux-sparse/msg03471.html).
Create a const_ilog2() variant that works with sparse for this scenario.
(Note: checkpatch.pl complains about missing parentheses, but that
appears to be a false positive. I can get rid of the warning simply by
inserting whitespace, making checkpatch "see" the whole macro).

Netvsc has a function to calculate how much ring buffer in percentage is
available to write. This function is also useful for storvsc and other
vmbus devices.
Define a similar function in vmbus to be used by other vmbus devices.

Now ata devices attached with sas controller do not have transport
class, so that we can not see any information of these ata devices in
/sys/class/ata_port(or ata_link or ata_device).
Add transport class for the ata devices attached with sas controller.
The /sys/class directory will show the infomation of the ata devices
as follows:

Expose a new system call allowing each thread to register one userspace
memory area to be used as an ABI between kernel and user-space for two
purposes: user-space restartable sequences and quick access to read the
current CPU number value from user-space.
* Restartable sequences (per-cpu atomics)
Restartables sequences allow user-space to perform update operations on
per-cpu data without requiring heavy-weight atomic operations.
The restartable critical sections (percpu atomics) work has been started
by Paul Turner and Andrew Hunter. It lets the kernel handle restart of
critical sections. [1] [2] The re-implementation proposed here brings a
few simplifications to the ABI which facilitates porting to other
architectures and speeds up the user-space fast path.
Here are benchmarks of various rseq use-cases.
Test hardware:

Using rseq with per-cpu memory pools in jemalloc at Facebook (based on
rseq 2016 implementation):
The production workload response-time has 1-2% gain avg. latency, and
the P99 overall latency drops by 2-3%.
* Reading the current CPU number
Speeding up reading the current CPU number on which the caller thread is
running is done by keeping the current CPU number up do date within the
cpu_id field of the memory area registered by the thread. This is done
by making scheduler preemption set the TIF_NOTIFY_RESUME flag on the
current thread. Upon return to user-space, a notify-resume handler
updates the current CPU value within the registered user-space memory
area. User-space can then read the current CPU number directly from
memory.
Keeping the current cpu id in a memory area shared between kernel and
user-space is an improvement over current mechanisms available to read
the current CPU number, which has the following benefits over
alternative approaches:
- 35x speedup on ARM vs system call through glibc
- 20x speedup on x86 compared to calling glibc, which calls vdso
executing a "lsl" instruction,
- 14x speedup on x86 compared to inlined "lsl" instruction,
- Unlike vdso approaches, this cpu_id value can be read from an inline
assembly, which makes it a useful building block for restartable
sequences.
- The approach of reading the cpu id through memory mapping shared
between kernel and user-space is portable (e.g. ARM), which is not the
case for the lsl-based x86 vdso.
On x86, yet another possible approach would be to use the gs segment
selector to point to user-space per-cpu data. This approach performs
similarly to the cpu id cache, but it has two disadvantages: it is
not portable, and it is incompatible with existing applications already
using the gs segment selector for other purposes.
Benchmarking various approaches for reading the current CPU number:

expectations, that enabling CONFIG_RSEQ slightly accelerates the
scheduler:

Provide helper macros for fields which represent pointers in
kernel-userspace ABI. This facilitates handling of 32-bit
user-space by 64-bit kernels by defining those fields as
32-bit 0-padding and 32-bit integer on 32-bit architectures,
which allows the kernel to treat those as 64-bit integers.
The order of padding and 32-bit integer depends on the
endianness.

Pull x86 updates and fixes from Thomas Gleixner:
- Fix the (late) fallout from the vector management rework causing
hlist corruption and irq descriptor reference leaks caused by a
missing sanity check.
The straight forward fix triggered another long standing issue to
surface. The pre rework code hid the issue due to being way slower,
but now the chance that user space sees an EBUSY error return when
updating irq affinities is way higher, though quite a bunch of
userspace tools do not handle it properly despite the fact that EBUSY
could be returned for at least 10 years.
It turned out that the EBUSY return can be avoided completely by
utilizing the existing delayed affinity update mechanism for irq
remapped scenarios as well. That's a bit more error handling in the
kernel, but avoids fruitless fingerpointing discussions with tool
developers.
- Decouple PHYSICAL_MASK from AMD SME as its going to be required for
the upcoming Intel memory encryption support as well.
- Handle legacy device ACPI detection properly for newer platforms
- Fix the wrong argument ordering in the vector allocation tracepoint

The upcoming fix for the -EBUSY return from affinity settings requires to
use the irq_move_irq() functionality even on irq remapped interrupts. To
avoid the out of line call, move the check for the pending bit into an
inline helper.

Since commit b4abf91047cf ("rtmutex: Make wait_lock irq safe") the
explanation in rcu_read_unlock() documentation about irq unsafe rtmutex
wait_lock is no longer valid.
Remove it to prevent kernel developers reading the documentation to rely on
it.

The AB8540 was an evolved version of the AB8500, but it was never
mass produced or put into products, only reference designs exist.
The upstream support was never completed and it is unlikely that
this will happen so drop the support for now to simplify
maintenance of the AB8500.

"This time we have a good set of changes to the core framework that do
some general cleanups, but nothing too major. The majority of the diff
goes to two SoCs, Actions Semi and Qualcomm. A brand new driver is
introduced for Actions Semi so it takes up some lines to add all the

On some davinci SoCs, we need to register the PSC clocks during early
boot because they are needed for clocksource/clockevent. These changes
allow for dev == NULL because in this case, we won't have a platform
device for the clocks.

This modifies the TI Davinci PLL clock driver to allow for the case
when dev == NULL. On some (most) SoCs that use this driver, the PLL
clock needs to be registered during early boot because it is used
for clocksource/clkevent and there will be no platform device available.
