* net: qrtr: start MHI channel after endpoit creationMaxim Kochetkov2022-08-151-5/+7
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | MHI channel may generates event/interrupt right after enabling. It may leads to 2 race conditions issues. 1) Such event may be dropped by qcom_mhi_qrtr_dl_callback() at check: if (!qdev || mhi_res->transaction_status) return; Because dev_set_drvdata(&mhi_dev->dev, qdev) may be not performed at this moment. In this situation qrtr-ns will be unable to enumerate services in device. --------------------------------------------------------------- 2) Such event may come at the moment after dev_set_drvdata() and before qrtr_endpoint_register(). In this case kernel will panic with accessing wrong pointer at qcom_mhi_qrtr_dl_callback(): rc = qrtr_endpoint_post(&qdev->ep, mhi_res->buf_addr, mhi_res->bytes_xferd); Because endpoint is not created yet. -------------------------------------------------------------- So move mhi_prepare_for_transfer_autoqueue after endpoint creation to fix it. * net: remove noblock parameter from skb_recv_datagram()Oliver Hartkopp2022-04-061-2/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | skb_recv_datagram() has two parameters 'flags' and 'noblock' that are merged inside skb_recv_datagram() by 'flags | (noblock ? MSG_DONTWAIT : 0)' As 'flags' may contain MSG_DONTWAIT as value most callers split the 'flags' into 'flags' and 'noblock' with finally obsolete bit operations like this: skb_recv_datagram(sk, flags & ~MSG_DONTWAIT, flags & MSG_DONTWAIT, &rc); And this is not even done consistently with the 'flags' parameter. This patch removes the obsolete and costly splitting into two parameters and only performs bit operations when really needed on the caller side. One missing conversion thankfully reported by kernel test robot. I missed to enable kunit tests to build the mctp code. * bus: mhi: core: Add an API for auto queueing buffers for DL channelManivannan Sadhasivam2021-12-171-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add a new API "mhi_prepare_for_transfer_autoqueue" for using with client drivers like QRTR to request MHI core to autoqueue buffers for the DL channel along with starting both UL and DL channels. So far, the "auto_queue" flag specified by the controller drivers in channel definition served this purpose but this will be removed at some point in future. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Syzbot reported memory leak in qrtr. The problem was in unputted struct sock. qrtr_local_enqueue() function calls qrtr_port_lookup() which takes sock reference if port was found. Then there is the following check: if (!ipc || &ipc->sk == skb->sk) { ... return -ENODEV; } Since we should drop the reference before returning from this function and ipc can be non-NULL inside this if, we should add qrtr_port_put() inside this if. The similar corner case is in qrtr_endpoint_post() as Manivannan reported. In case of sock_queue_rcv_skb() failure we need to put port reference to avoid leaking struct sock pointer. * | net: socket: rework compat_ifreq_ioctl()Arnd Bergmann2021-07-231-2/+2
|/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | compat_ifreq_ioctl() is one of the last users of copy_in_user() and compat_alloc_user_space(), as it attempts to convert the 'struct ifreq' arguments from 32-bit to 64-bit format as used by dev_ioctl() and a couple of socket family specific interpretations. The current implementation works correctly when calling dev_ioctl(), inet_ioctl(), ieee802154_sock_ioctl(), atalk_ioctl(), qrtr_ioctl() and packet_ioctl(). The ioctl handlers for x25, netrom, rose and x25 do not interpret the arguments and only block the corresponding commands, so they do not care. For af_inet6 and af_decnet however, the compat conversion is slightly incorrect, as it will copy more data than the native handler accesses, both of them use a structure that is shorter than ifreq. Replace the copy_in_user() conversion with a pair of accessor functions to read and write the ifreq data in place with the correct length where needed, while leaving the other ones to copy the (already compatible) structures directly. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The rcu_read_lock() is not supposed to lock the kernel_sendmsg() API since it has the lock_sock() in qrtr_sendmsg() which will sleep. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Passing large uint32 sockaddr_qrtr.port numbers for port allocation triggers a warning within idr_alloc() since the port number is cast to int, and thus interpreted as a negative number. This leads to the rejection of such valid port numbers in qrtr_port_assign() as idr_alloc() fails. To avoid the problem, switch to idr_alloc_u32() instead. |\ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The UDP reuseport conflict was a little bit tricky. The net-next code, via bpf-next, extracted the reuseport handling into a helper so that the BPF sk lookup code could invoke it. At the same time, the logic for reuseport handling of unconnected sockets changed via commit efc6b6f6c3113e8b203b9debfb72d81e0f3dcace which changed the logic to carry on the reuseport result into the rest of the lookup loop if we do not return immediately. This requires moving the reuseport_has_conns() logic into the callers. While we are here, get rid of inline directives as they do not belong in foo.c files. The other changes were cases of more straightforward overlapping modifications. Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

There are a variety of indentation styles found. a) 4 spaces + '---help---' b) 7 spaces + '---help---' c) 8 spaces + '---help---' d) 1 space + 1 tab + '---help---' e) 1 tab + '---help---' (correct indentation) f) 1 tab + 1 space + '---help---' g) 1 tab + 2 spaces + '---help---' In order to convert all of them to 1 tab + 'help', I ran the following commend: $ find . -name 'Kconfig*' | xargs sed -i 's/^[[:space:]]*---help---/\thelp/' Signed-off-by: Masahiro Yamada <masahiroy@kernel.org>

|\ | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | xdp_umem.c had overlapping changes between the 64-bit math fix for the calculation of npgs and the removal of the zerocopy memory type which got rid of the chunk_size_nohdr member. The mlx5 Kconfig conflict is a case where we just take the net-next copy of the Kconfig entry dependency as it takes on the ESWITCH dependency by one level of indirection which is what the 'net' conflicting change is trying to ensure. | * net: qrtr: Allocate workqueue before kernel_bindChris Lew2020-05-301-5/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | A null pointer dereference in qrtr_ns_data_ready() is seen if a client opens a qrtr socket before qrtr_ns_init() can bind to the control port. When the control port is bound, the ENETRESET error will be broadcasted and clients will close their sockets. This results in DEL_CLIENT packets being sent to the ns and qrtr_ns_data_ready() being called without the workqueue being allocated. Allocate the workqueue before setting sk_data_ready and binding to the control port. This ensures that the work and workqueue structs are allocated and initialized before qrtr_ns_data_ready can be called.
