* net: Convert uses of typedef ctl_table to struct ctl_tableJoe Perches2013-06-131-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Reduce the uses of this unnecessary typedef. Done via perl script: $ git grep --name-only -w ctl_table net | \ xargs perl -p -i -e '\ sub trim { my ($local) = @_; $local =~ s/(^\s+|\s+$)//g; return $local; } \ s/\b(?<!struct\s)ctl_table\b(\s*\*\s*|\s+\w+)/"struct ctl_table " . trim($1)/ge' Reflow the modified lines that now exceed 80 columns. * net: Convert all sysctl registrations to register_net_sysctlEric W. Biederman2012-04-201-8/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | This results in code with less boiler plate that is a bit easier to read. Additionally stops us from using compatibility code in the sysctl core, hastening the day when the compatibility code can be removed. Signed-off-by: Eric W. * net: Move all of the network sysctls without a namespace into init_net.Eric W. Biederman2012-04-201-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This makes it clearer which sysctls are relative to your current network namespace. This makes it a little less error prone by not exposing sysctls for the initial network namespace in other namespaces. This is the same way we handle all of our other network interfaces to userspace and I can't honestly remember why we didn't do this for sysctls right from the start. Signed-off-by: Eric W. * rds: make local functions/variables staticstephen hemminger2010-10-211-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | The RDS protocol has lots of functions that should be declared static. rds_message_get/add_version_extension is removed since it defined but never used. Signed-off-by: Stephen Hemminger <shemminger@vyatta.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* RDS: remove __init and __exit annotationZach Brown2010-09-081-1/+1
| | | | | | | The trivial amount of memory saved isn't worth the cost of dealing with section mismatches. Signed-off-by: Zach Brown <zach.brown@oracle.com>
* RDS: cleanup: remove "== NULL"s and "!= NULL"s in ptr comparisonsAndy Grover2010-09-081-1/+1

* sysctl: Drop & in front of every proc_handler.Eric W. Biederman2009-11-181-6/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | For consistency drop & in front of every proc_handler. Explicity taking the address is unnecessary and it prevents optimizations like stubbing the proc_handlers to NULL. * sysctl net: Remove unused binary sysctl codeEric W. Biederman2009-11-121-10/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Now that sys_sysctl is a compatiblity wrapper around /proc/sys all sysctl strategy routines, and all ctl_name and strategy entries in the sysctl tables are unused, and can be revmoed. In addition neigh_sysctl_register has been modified to no longer take a strategy argument and it's callers have been modified not to pass one. * RDS: Add iWARP supportAndy Grover2009-02-261-0/+137
Support for iWARP NICs is implemented as a separate RDS transport from IB. The code, however, is very similar to IB (it was forked, basically.) so let's keep it in one changeset. The reason for this duplicationis that despite its similarity to IB, there are a number of places where it has different semantics. iwarp zcopy support is still under development, and giving it its own sandbox ensures that IB code isn't disrupted while iwarp changes. Over time these transports will re-converge. Signed-off-by: Andy Grover <andy.grover@oracle.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
