* perf evlist: Rename cpus to user_requested_cpusIan Rogers2022-04-011-1/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | evlist contains cpus and all_cpus. all_cpus is the union of the cpu maps of all evsels. For non-task targets, cpus is set to be cpus requested from the command line, defaulting to all online cpus if no cpus are specified. For an uncore event, all_cpus may be just CPU 0 or every online CPU. This causes all_cpus to have fewer values than the cpus variable which is confusing given the 'all' in the name. To try to make the behavior clearer, rename cpus to user_requested_cpus and add comments on the two struct variables. * perf evsel: Rename 'struct perf_evsel__sb_cb_t' to 'struct evsel__sb_cb_t'Arnaldo Carvalho de Melo2020-05-051-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | As the "perf_" prefix should be restricted to functions and types in tools/lib/perf/, aka libperf, this way we reduce a bit the confusion for types only in libperf or the ones in the more contained tools/perf/ project. * perf evlist: Allow reusing the side band thread for more purposesArnaldo Carvalho de Melo2020-05-051-0/+23
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | I.e. so far we had just one event in that side band thread, a dummy one with attr.bpf_event set, so that 'perf record' can go ahead and ask the kernel for further information about BPF programs being loaded. Allow for more than one event to be there, so that we can use it as well for the upcoming --switch-output-event feature.
