| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | The arm dts directory has grown to 1559 boards which makes it a bit unwieldy to maintain and use. Past attempts stalled out due to plans to move .dts files out of the kernel tree. Doing that is no longer planned (any time soon at least), so let's go ahead and group .dts files by vendors. This move aligns arm with arm64 .dts file structure. There's no change to dtbs_install as the flat structure is maintained on install. The naming of vendor directories is roughly in this order of preference: - Matching original and current SoC vendor prefix/name (e.g. ti, qcom) - Current vendor prefix/name if still actively sold (SoCs which have been aquired) (e.g. nxp/imx) - Existing platform name for older platforms not sold/maintained by any company (e.g. gemini, nspire) The whole move was scripted with the exception of MAINTAINERS and a few makefile fixups. For SPI controllers available on SAMA5D4 and SAMA5D3 some of the pins are defined in SoC specific dtsi on behalf of pinctrl-0. Adding extra pinctrl phandles on board specific dts also on behalf of pinctrl-0 overwrite the pinctrl-0 phandle specified in SoC specific dtsi. Thus add the board specific pinctrl to pinctrl-1. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Since commit bcf3440c6dd7 ("net: phy: micrel: add phy-mode support for the KSZ9031 PHY"), networking is broken on sama5d3 xplained. The device tree has phy-mode = "rgmii" and this worked before, because KSZ9031 PHY started with default RGMII internal delays configuration (TX off, RX on 1.2 ns) and MAC provided TX delay. After above commit, the KSZ9031 PHY starts handling phy mode properly and disables RX delay, as result networking is become broken. Fix it by switching to phy-mode = "rgmii-rxid" to reflect previous behavior. |/ | | | | | | | | | | | | | After 57a38effa598 (net: phy: micrel: disable broadcast for KSZ8081/KSZ8091) the macb1 interface refuses to work properly because it tries to cling to address 0 which isn't able to communicate in broadcast with the mac anymore. The micrel phy on the board is actually configured to show up at address 1. Adding the phy node and its real address fixes the issue.
