* xtensa: drop platform_halt and platform_power_offMax Filippov2023-06-121-7/+5
| | | | | | | | | | | | Instead of using xtensa-specific platform_halt and platform_power_off callbacks use do_kernel_power_off in the machine_halt and machine_power_off and reimplement existing platform_halt and platform_power_off users with register_sys_off_handler. Drop platform_halt and platform_power_off declarations and default implementations. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
* xtensa: drop platform_restartMax Filippov2023-06-121-2/+10
| | | | | | | | | Instead of using xtensa-specific platform_restart callback use do_kernel_restart in the machine_restart implementation and reimplement existing platform_restart users with register_restart_handler. Drop platform_restart declaration and default implementation. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
* kernel.h: split out panic and oops helpersAndy Shevchenko2021-07-011-0/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | kernel.h is being used as a dump for all kinds of stuff for a long time. Here is the attempt to start cleaning it up by splitting out panic and oops helpers. There are several purposes of doing this: - dropping dependency in bug.h - dropping a loop by moving out panic_notifier.h - unload kernel.h from something which has its own domain At the same time convert users tree-wide to use new headers, although for the time being include new header back to kernel.h to avoid twisted indirected includes for existing users. * xtensa: ISS: update kernel command line in platform_setupMax Filippov2017-03-131-0/+21
| | | | | | | | | Move platform_setup call higher in initialization sequence so that it could change kernel command line. Check command line passed to simulator in ISS platform_stup and update kernel command line if there's anything. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
* xtensa: ISS: cleanup setup.cMax Filippov2017-03-131-20/+2

* xtensa: extract common CPU reset code into separate functionMax Filippov2016-09-111-19/+1
| | | | | | | | platform_restart implementatations do the same thing to reset CPU. Don't duplicate that code, move it to a function and call it from platform_restart. Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
* xtensa: fixes for configs without loop optionMax Filippov2015-11-021-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Build-time fixes: - make lbeg/lend/lcount save/restore conditional on kernel entry; - don't clear lcount in platform_restart functions unconditionally. Run-time fixes: - use correct end of range register in __endla paired with __loopt, not the unused temporary register. This fixes .bss zero-initialization. Update comments in asmmacro.h; - don't clobber a10 in the usercopy that leads to access to unmapped memory. Cc: <stable@vger.kernel.org> Signed-off-by: Max Filippov <jcmvbkbc@gmail.com>
