* dt-bindings: display: msm: Add reg bus and rotator interconnectsKonrad Dybcio2023-12-031-4/+10
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Apart from the already handled data bus (MAS_MDP_Pn<->DDR), there are other connection paths: - a path that connects rotator block to the DDR. - a path that needs to be handled to ensure MDSS register access functions properly, namely the "reg bus", a.k.a the CPU-MDSS CFG interconnect. Describe these paths to allow using them in device trees and in the driver. [Konrad: rework for one vs two MDP paths, update examples] Reviewed-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Signed-off-by: Konrad Dybcio <konrad.dybcio@linaro.org> Patchwork: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/569480/ Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20231125-topic-rb1_feat-v3-2-4cbb567743bb@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Dmitry Baryshkov <dmitry.baryshkov@linaro.org>
* dt-bindings: display: msm: Make "additionalProperties: true" explicitRob Herring2023-10-091-0/+8
| | | | | | | | | | | | Make it explicit that child nodes have additional properties and the child node schema is not complete. The complete schemas are applied separately based the compatible strings. * dt-bindings: use capital "OR" for multiple licenses in SPDXKrzysztof Kozlowski2023-08-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Documentation/process/license-rules.rst and checkpatch expect the SPDX identifier syntax for multiple licenses to use capital "OR". Correct it to keep consistent format and avoid copy-paste issues. Correct also the format // -> .* in few Allwinner binding headers as pointed out by checkpatch: WARNING: Improper SPDX comment style for 'include/dt-bindings/reset/sun50i-h6-ccu.h', please use '/*' instead Signed-off-by: Krzysztof Kozlowski <krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org> Acked-by: Guenter Roeck <linux@roeck-us.net> Acked-by: Stephen Boyd <sboyd@kernel.org> Link: https://lore.kernel.org/r/20230823084540.112602-1-krzysztof.kozlowski@linaro.org Signed-off-by: Rob Herring <robh@kernel.org>
* dt-bindings: msm: dsi-controller-main: Add compatible strings for every ↵Bryan O'Donoghue2023-01-241-2/+4
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | current SoC Currently we do not differentiate between the various users of the qcom,mdss-dsi-ctrl. The driver is flexible enough to operate from one compatible string but, the hardware does have some significant differences in the number of clocks. To facilitate documenting the clocks add the following compatible strings - qcom,apq8064-dsi-ctrl - qcom,msm8916-dsi-ctrl - qcom,msm8953-dsi-ctrl - qcom,msm8974-dsi-ctrl - qcom,msm8996-dsi-ctrl - qcom,msm8998-dsi-ctrl - qcom,sc7180-dsi-ctrl - qcom,sc7280-dsi-ctrl - qcom,sdm660-dsi-ctrl - qcom,sdm845-dsi-ctrl - qcom,sm8150-dsi-ctrl - qcom,sm8250-dsi-ctrl - qcom,sm8350-dsi-ctrl - qcom,sm8450-dsi-ctrl - qcom,sm8550-dsi-ctrl - qcom,qcm2290-dsi-ctrl Deprecate qcom,dsi-ctrl-6g-qcm2290 in favour of the desired format while we do so. Several MDSS yaml files exist which document the dsi sub-node. For each existing SoC MDSS yaml, provide the right dsi compat string.
