* media: docs: add an uAPI chapter for driver-specific stuffMauro Carvalho Chehab2020-04-147-926/+0
| | | | | | | There are some uAPI stuff that are driver-specific. Add them to the main media uAPI body. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org>
* media: docs: move driver-specific info to driver-apiMauro Carvalho Chehab2020-04-1414-4984/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Those documents don't really describe the driver API. Instead, they contain development-specific information. Yet, as the main index file describes the content of it as: "how specific kernel subsystems work from the point of view of a kernel developer" It seems to be the better fit. * media: docs: move user-facing docs to the admin guideMauro Carvalho Chehab2020-04-1442-11086/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Most of the driver-specific documentation is meant to help users of the media subsystem. Move them to the admin-guide. It should be noticed, however, that several of those files are outdated and will require further work in order to make them useful again. * media: docs: move fourcc file to the uAPI documentMauro Carvalho Chehab2020-04-142-33/+0
| | | | | | | | | This file gives a hint about how fourcc should be named. It is on a very weird place, as such kind of thing belongs to the uAPI guide. Signed-off-by: Mauro Carvalho Chehab <mchehab+huawei@kernel.org>
* media: docs: kAPI docs: move them to driver-apiMauro Carvalho Chehab2020-04-141-1/+1

| * media: Revert "media: staging/intel-ipu3: make imgu use fixed running mode"Bingbu Cao2020-01-231-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | This reverts commit e878742c83ec26ef256ebb6b36a4d44644548f25. Imgu should still keep the capability and flexibility to allow user to run 2 video pipes, as the user may use the video pipe to capture still frames with less system load and power than still pipe. | * media: staging/intel-ipu3: make imgu use fixed running modeBingbu Cao2020-01-041-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently, the imgu running mode need user to set by v4l2 ctrl. However, imgu only support 2 pipes and 2 operation modes - video and still. This patch make the first imgu subdev running as video and second one running as still, it will make the user understand easily, it can also cover current camera use cases requirement. The running mode is set during subdev registering, no race-condition after change, so it is safe to change the mode data type to integer. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Add mean window size parameter for debayer filter as a control in vimc-debayer. vimc-debayer was patched to allow changing mean window parameter of the filter without needing to reload the driver.
