* bna: Avoid clashing function prototypesGustavo A. R. Silva2022-11-211-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | When built with Control Flow Integrity, function prototypes between caller and function declaration must match. These mismatches are visible at compile time with the new -Wcast-function-type-strict in Clang[1]. Fix a total of 227 warnings like these: drivers/net/ethernet/brocade/bna/bna_enet.c:519:3: warning: cast from 'void (*)(struct bna_ethport *, enum bna_ethport_event)' to 'bfa_fsm_t' (aka 'void (*)(void *, int)') converts to incompatible function type [-Wcast-function-type-strict] bfa_fsm_set_state(ethport, bna_ethport_sm_down); ^~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ The bna state machine code heavily overloads its state machine functions, so these have been separated into their own sets of structs, enums, typedefs, and helper functions. There are almost zero binary code changes, all seem to be related to header file line numbers changing, or the addition of the new stats helper. Important to mention is that while I was manually implementing this changes I was staring at this[2] patch from Kees Cook. Thanks, Kees. :) Link: https://github.com/KSPP/linux/issues/240 [1] https://reviews.llvm.org/D134831 [2] https://lore.kernel.org/linux-hardening/20220929230334.2109344-1-keescook@chromium.org/ Reviewed-by: Kees Cook <keescook@chromium.org> Signed-off-by: Gustavo A. * treewide: Use fallthrough pseudo-keywordGustavo A. R. Silva2020-08-231-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | Replace the existing /* fall through */ comments and its variants with the new pseudo-keyword macro fallthrough[1]. Also, remove unnecessary fall-through markings when it is the case. * bna: RX Filter EnhancementsRasesh Mody2013-12-181-1/+9
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Change Details: - Added bna_rx_ucast_listset() for synchronous ucast listadd operation. - Clear mac->handle before adding it to free_q. - bnad_set_rx_mode() rewritten. bnad_set_rx_mode() adds the MACs in uc_list to UCAM. If it exceeds the max supported, DEFAULT mode is turned on. If MCAM limit is exceeded, ALLMULTI mode is turned on. - Clear CF flags, check for the new mode and reprogram the Rx approach. - Added bnad_set_rx_ucast_fltr() and bnad_set_rx_mcast_fltr(). - Check for IFF_PROMISC to set the correct mode. * bna: Fix Filter Add DelRasesh Mody2013-12-181-27/+21
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Change Details: - bna_rx_mcast_listset() API first looks at free_q only and not at other pending Qs rendering it non-deterministic of giving an upper limit. Modify bna_rx_mcast_listset() implementation to not use only half of the limit. - Allocate and initialize queue for deleting - Segregate the adding and deleting process by using separate queues. - The filter framework in bna does not let adding addresses to its max capacity due to asynchronous operations involved. Provide a synchronous option to set a given list. Signed-off-by: Rasesh Mody <rmody@brocade.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
* bna: Fix Ucast Failure HandlingRasesh Mody2013-05-201-1/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Failure of the UCAST set for base mac address fails when user configures a duplicate mac address that matches that of another vNIC on the same port. The bna does not handle the ucast failure and keeps this address in cache. On disable of the vNIC, bna tries to delete the failed base mac address and the fw asserts. On failure of ucast address, mark ucast address set to false. Signed-off-by: Rasesh Mody <rmody@brocade.com> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>

* bna: Add debugfs interface.Krishna Gudipati2011-12-231-2/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Change details: - Add debugfs support to obtain firmware trace, saved firmware trace on an IOC crash, driver info and read/write to registers. - debugfs hierarchy: bna/pci_dev:<pci_name> where the pci_name corresponds to the one under /sys/bus/pci/drivers/bna - Following are the new debugfs entries added: fwtrc: collect current firmware trace. fwsave: collect last saved fw trace as a result of firmware crash. regwr: write one word to chip register regrd: read one or more words from chip register. drvinfo: collect the driver information. * bna: Async Mode Tx Rx Init FixRasesh Mody2011-09-151-7/+22
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Change details: - Async mode of Tx/Rx queue initialization in BNAD from a task queue context runs into non-unique taskq allocation issues. Get rid of Tx/Rx initialization from task q context - In the attach function, wait for IOC enable, then do Tx/Rx queue initialization. Default BNA attributes are used when IOC enable from attach fails and values are set to: 1 TxQ, 1 RxQ, 1 Unicast MAC, 1 RIT entry Signed-off-by: Gurunatha Karaje <gkaraje@brocade.com> Signed-off-by: Rasesh Mody <rmody@brocade.com> Signed-off-by: David S. * bna: Introduce ENET as New Driver and FW InterfaceRasesh Mody2011-08-111-0/+2129
Change details: - This patch contains the messages, opcodes and structure format for the messages and responses exchanged between driver and the FW. In addition this patch contains the state machine implementation for Ethport, Enet, IOCEth. - Ethport object is responsible for receiving link state events, sending port enable/disable commands to FW. - Enet object is responsible for synchronizing initialization/teardown of tx & rx datapath configuration. - IOCEth object is responsible for init/un-init of IO Controller in the adapter which runs the FW. - This patch also contains code for initialization and resource assignment for Ethport, Enet, IOCEth, Tx, Rx objects.
