* batman-adv: Remove bat_ prefix from bat_{debugfs, sysfs}.{c, h}Sven Eckelmann2012-07-011-405/+0
| | | | | | | | | | | | The "bat_" prefix in the source files implementing the batman-adv sysfs and debugfs interface doesn't have a special meaning and are only used by these files and files that implement the actual B.A.T.M.A.N. path finding algorithm. The prefix is better suited to mark files that are used to implement the main part of the path finding. All other files should not use it and therefore gets renamed. * batman-adv: Transform BATADV_LOG_BUFF(idx) into functionSven Eckelmann2012-07-011-4/+15
| | | | | | | | | The linux Documentation/CodingStyle says that: * Chapter 12: "inline functions are preferable to macros resembling functions" * Chapter 12.2: Depending on local variables with a magic name is bad * Chapter 12.3: Macros with arguments used as l-value are bad Signed-off-by: Sven Eckelmann <sven@narfation.org>

* batman-adv: Prefix bat_debugfs local static functions with batadv_Sven Eckelmann2012-06-241-71/+72
| | | | | | | | All non-static symbols of batman-adv were prefixed with batadv_ to avoid collisions with other symbols of the kernel. Other symbols of batman-adv should use the same prefix to keep the naming scheme consistent. Signed-off-by: Sven Eckelmann <sven@narfation.org>
* batman-adv: Reformat multiline comments to consistent styleSven Eckelmann2012-06-201-3/+1
| | | | | | | | batman-adv doesn't follow the style for multiline comments that David S. Miller prefers. All comments should be reformatted to follow this consistent style to make the code slightly more readable. Signed-off-by: Sven Eckelmann <sven@narfation.org>
* batman-adv: Prefix main non-static functions with batadv_Sven Eckelmann2012-06-201-3/+3
| | | | | | | | | | | batman-adv can be compiled as part of the kernel instead of an module. In that case the linker will see all non-static symbols of batman-adv and all other non-static symbols of the kernel. This could lead to symbol collisions. A prefix for the batman-adv symbols that defines their private namespace avoids such a problem. Reported-by: David Miller <davem@davemloft.net> Signed-off-by: Sven Eckelmann <sven@narfation.org>

* batman-adv: add bridge loop avoidance compile optionSimon Wunderlich2012-04-111-1/+6
| | | | | | | | | | | The define CONFIG_BATMAN_ADV_BLA switches the bridge loop avoidance on - skip it, and the bridge loop avoidance is not compiled in. This is useful if binary size should be saved or the feature is not needed. Signed-off-by: Simon Wunderlich <siwu@hrz.tu-chemnitz.de> Signed-off-by: Antonio Quartulli <ordex@autistici.org>

* batman-adv: Calculate sizeof using variable insead of typesSven Eckelmann2011-05-301-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | Documentation/CodingStyle recommends to use the form p = kmalloc(sizeof(*p), ...); to calculate the size of a struct and not the version where the struct name is spelled out to prevent bugs when the type of p changes. This also seems appropriate for manipulation of buffers when they are directly associated with p. Signed-off-by: Sven Eckelmann <sven@narfation.org>
* batman-adv: Add const type qualifier for pointersSven Eckelmann2011-05-301-2/+2
| | | | | | | | batman-adv uses pointers which are marked as const and should not violate that type qualifier by passing it to functions which force a cast to the non-const version. Signed-off-by: Sven Eckelmann <sven@narfation.org>

* net: Add batman-adv meshing protocolSven Eckelmann2010-12-161-0/+360
B.A.T.M.A.N. (better approach to mobile ad-hoc networking) is a routing protocol for multi-hop ad-hoc mesh networks. The networks may be wired or wireless. See http://www.open-mesh.org/ for more information and user space tools. Signed-off-by: Sven Eckelmann <sven@narfation.org> Signed-off-by: David S. Miller <davem@davemloft.net>
