* openvswitch: Change the return type for vport_ops.send function hook to intNathan Huckleberry2022-09-191-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | All usages of the vport_ops struct have the .send field set to dev_queue_xmit or internal_dev_recv. Since most usages are set to dev_queue_xmit, the function hook should match the signature of dev_queue_xmit. The only call to vport_ops->send() is in net/openvswitch/vport.c and it throws away the return value. This mismatched return type breaks forward edge kCFI since the underlying function definition does not match the function hook definition. * openvswitch: allow specifying ifindex of new interfacesAndrey Zhadchenko2022-08-261-0/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | CRIU is preserving ifindexes of net devices after restoration. However, current Open vSwitch API does not allow to target ifindex, so we cannot correctly restore OVS configuration. Add new OVS_DP_ATTR_IFINDEX for OVS_DP_CMD_NEW and use it as desired ifindex. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | We'll need it to alter packets sent to ARPHRD_NONE interfaces. Change do_output() to use the actual L2 header size of the packet when deciding on the minimum cutlen. The assumption here is that what matters is not the output interface hard_header_len but rather the L2 header of the particular packet. For example, ARPHRD_NONE tunnels that encapsulate Ethernet should get at least the Ethernet header. | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | While transitioning to netdev based vport we broke OVS feature which allows user to retrieve tunnel packet egress information for lwtunnel devices. Following patch fixes it by introducing ndo operation to get the tunnel egress info. Same ndo operation can be used for lwtunnel devices and compat ovs-tnl-vport devices. So after adding such device operation we can remove similar operation from ovs-vport. Fixes: 614732eaa12d ("openvswitch: Use regular VXLAN net_device device"). | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | OVS vswitch has extended IPFIX exporter to export tunnel headers to improve network visibility. To export this information userspace needs to know egress tunnel for given packet. By extending packet attributes datapath can export egress tunnel info for given packet. * openvswitch: Wrap struct ovs_key_ipv4_tunnel in a new structure.Jesse Gross2014-10-061-1/+1
| | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | | Currently, the flow information that is matched for tunnels and the tunnel data passed around with packets is the same. However, as additional information is added this is not necessarily desirable, as in the case of pointers. This adds a new structure for tunnel metadata which currently contains only the existing struct. This change is purely internal to the kernel since the current OVS_KEY_ATTR_IPV4_TUNNEL is simply a compressed version of OVS_KEY_ATTR_TUNNEL that is translated at flow setup. * openvswitch: Use generic struct pcpu_tstats.Pravin B Shelar2013-04-151-9/+2
| | | | | | | | Rather than defining ovs specific stats struct (vport_percpu_stats), we can use existing pcpu_tstats to achieve exactly same functionality. Signed-off-by: Pravin B Shelar <pshelar@nicira.com> Signed-off-by: Jesse Gross <jesse@nicira.com>
* openvswitch: Simplify datapath locking.Pravin B Shelar2013-04-151-2/+2
| | | | | | | | | | | | Currently OVS uses combination of genl and rtnl lock to protect datapath state. This was done due to networking stack locking. But this has complicated locking and there are few lock ordering issues with new tunneling protocols. Following patch simplifies locking by introducing new ovs mutex and now this lock is used to protect entire ovs state.
